Your dad was gone and your mom traveled all of her life. You wanted to know where she went when she "traveled". So what did you do? You told Donnie that you wanted to borrow a tracking device for something. You never specified, just said that you needed one, and he allowed you to borrow it.It turns out that your mother had been going to the same place every time she went out. So when it was daytime out, because you had Donnie's new aids, one for each ear, you were able to hear everything without them being seen. He went the extra mile with it. The daytime pair were hidden from sight and waterproof. The other pair for when you went out skateboarding. These were visible, flashing an orange color. These were still waterproof, but they looked cheaper. However, they weren't any worse than the others. You loved them.
You were wearing the visible ones tonight, following the usual path your mother took to get where ever it was that she went. It was always the same spot, so this "traveling" you already knew was a lie. When you arrived to the building, it was extremely sketchy and you couldn't find a way inside. So what did you do? You climbed the building beside of it and peered through the glass roofing. You never knew that the world was so loud. The wind, the bats, the bugs that flew near your ear. The steps you look, the sound a latter made, and the slight sound of wet drops hitting tin. These were things that you couldn't hear with the old aids. You tried to refocus, eyeing downward once you hid behind the concrete ledge.
What you saw inside the building was quite freaky. Mutants lurked around on the inside, some of them kneeling before a large chair. A large built man entered the room, sporting a sharp type of metal armor. He took his spot on the chair, crossing his left leg over the other. The only way I knew he was talking was by him moving his hands at the mutants.
Shredder.
Mikey had explained what he looked like so vividly, you knew this was him. You looked at the tracker screen again. This had to be the spot your mother spent off of her time at. But why would your mother be here of all places? Didn't she know what this place was? What all went on?
What kind of person was she really if she hung out here?
The door to the apparent meeting opened up again, and a woman walked through. All of the mutants nodded in respect as she passed each one of them. You felt sick to your stomach, unable to remove your eyes from what you were seeing. Your mother strutted right up to the Shredder's side, secretly winking his way as her hand carefully touched his, right before she stood silently beside him.
This was not happening.
