Leo

After you were all healed up, Leo had been very protective of you. This meant he'd wait by the sewer lids and walk to you the lair. He would also escort you back home if it was after sundown.

To save you from walking a bunch, sometimes he met you on the rooftops so you two could be alone and simply bask in each other's presence.

But this was the calm before the storm.

In the back of Leo's mind, a horror show was playing, one after another.

--

It all came crashing down when you came to the lids early, not having told him you'd be showing up so he could meet you. You were out of breath and pale, rushing around each room in the lair until you found him in the kitchen.

You'd been followed by some members of who you assumed had been the Purple Dragons. They followed you all the way from school, past your house. (You knew they'd been following you, so purposely skipped where you lived, and you knew going into a small store they wouldn't care to trash it up if they really wanted you for some reason.) So all of a sudden, you took off in a complete sprint, turning into an alleyway which lead behind a building, took off behind it, and hurried to lift the sewer lid.

The weight was pretty light when your adrenaline was pumping like it was. You rushed to set the lid down as slide it into place as silently as possible, and right as you heard it close, the gang members came flying around the corner. Your heavy breaths stopped with a hand over your mouth, and you stayed on the ladder for a good minute, listening to them. You didn't want to risk moving and being heard.

You waited for a good thirty minutes while they looked, then stood and talked about what they'd do to you next time they saw you.

Never had you been so close to wetting your pants.

You weren't just scared. You were petrified.

When you got to the lake, you were frantic.

Leo caught you in his arms and questioned you. What was wrong? Who was it? What did they look like? Why didn't you call him? Why didn't you let him meet you? Had they somehow followed you?

That night you stayed at the lair, trembling and paranoid. Though you tried to brush things off, Leo knew.

He began to wonder if being around him was worth all the stress it was causing you.

You weren't safe being associated with him anymore.

Raph.

Raph was admittedly a nervous wreck after everything that had happened. But he rarely let it show.

However, you did notice changes.

Calls on your walk home. Texts to check in before you left and when you should arrive somewhere.

You noticed the hovering. The staring.

Sometimes you swore you could feel him watching you from the rooftops, but you never actually caught it.

One evening, you'd been walking home. It was dark and cold and the rain was trying to start up, but you had to get home.

You felt like you were being followed.

You watched your surroundings as casually as possible. Then, you saw him. He was following you from across the street, but to be sure you weren't just being paranoid, you turned a corner and he crossed the street to do the same.

Now that you confirmed this, you kept your head forward and tried to take more public routes.

But with this weather, everyone had hurried home.
