"What?" I whispered. I lifted my head up straight but Gally kept his hand connected with my cheek.

"If i think it's what i think it is, it's not good." He said as he stood up in a hurry, running hands through his hair.

"Well tell me then." I swung my legs of the bed so my feet touched the floor.

"Cranks." He wasn't even looking at me now, which made me worried because he was worried. "I've heard that some Cranks take your nose."

"why would they want my nose." I asked curiously.

"To eat it!"

I froze and felt my heart fall deeper into my chest. What did this mean? Cranks we're going to take my nose, or did they want to kill me? I had no clue but i was scared, more afraid than in the maze, more afraid than when i fought cranks and grievers.

I felt the bed dip a bit on the left where i'm guessing Gally had sat down. I still didn't move, i couldn't and i had no idea why. I felt my breaths get heavier and heavier in each intake, but i couldn't control it. My vision started going slightly daisy. I stood up on my feet, i need to go get air because at this moment in time i wasn't getting any. But turns out i couldn't even make it to the door without stumbling.

I knew i was definitely not walking straight, i was all over the place but i needed fresh air.

I felt myself falling, about to hit the ground, but i didn't. Gally caught me before i fell. He sat me on the floor and sat in front of me. My back was leaning against the wall trying to get as much air into my lungs as possible.

"Leah? Leah hey listen to me, you need to breath." I heard Gally speak clearly but i still didn't know how to breath. it was like my lungs were not big enough to take in enough air.

I felt a hand placed in mine holding it tightly, it was warm. Then there was a warm had placed on my right cheek with relaxed me almost. I clamped my eyes shut and focused on breathing. I took it slow and breathed all i could in and then it all back out repeated until i felt myself calm. I opened my eyes to see Gally right i front of me.

"What did i do." I asked quietly.

"I think you had a panic attack. " He replied moving his hand from my cheek.

"What, i've never had panic attacks before." I said louder than my last line.

"It happens, you just need to stay calm and anchor yourself when you lose it slightly."

"Thank you." I said blankly, letting a tiny smile be noticed.

"It's okay." He smiled back.

We sat in silence for a while, i closed my eyes still making sure i didn't panic too much.

"See, you would have possibly been dead without me." Gally sniggered which made me smile that he still felt the need to protect me.

"Maybe i would be better of than stuck here with you." I replied.

"Oh yeah sure." He smirked.

....................................................................................

The sun had already set and it was dark out. I kept a gun in my belt slightly afraid of any cranks coming to take my nose. I liked my nose enough to not want someone take it. I was never really scared of cranks before but now i was.

Gally had given me food which was the most i've ever ate, which wasn't much. Gally ate four times for than me. Because i eat so little because i can struggle to find things to eat, my bodies used to not having much food. But the food was really nice.

Later on me and Gally were sat in his room, the one with the bed in, yeah that's his room. We weren't really doing much, i was staring at my blade while Gally was reading something.

"What are you reading?" I asked curiously, moving onto the bed where he was.

"I don't know the name of it, just so crappy book i found in the crappy city." He looked away from his book to look at me and he put the book down faced down on his chest, keeping his page.

"Let me see?" I asked, as i reached to get the book. Gally passed it me and i flicked through some pages.

"it's called 'wuthering heights'. " I handed the book back to him on the same page he had it before.

"How do you know that?" He sat up a little more surprised.

"Because i've read it. "

"When?"

"Before the Maze."

"How do you remember. "

"i'm not sure, but it's the only thing i do remember. I remember all the books i've read before they took my memories. Back in the maze i used to go through then in my head before i went to sleep. "

"I don't even remember what happened in the last chapter, never mine the whole book and another books." He pouted.

"It's because your not taking it in and hearing it and picturing it in your mind, give me the book."He handed me the book once again.  "have you go something you can draw on and with?" i looked up to him.

"I think so, i'll be back in a second." He ran out of the room and not long after he returned. "got it, now what?"

"i'm going to read this to you, and your going to draw it."

"okay."

I started reading out loud to him, remembering  the familiar words and sentences. After i finished i looked at Gally's drawing, which in fact was pretty good.

"See, you just look in what i was reading." I smiled at him.

"Yeah but that was you reading it out load, it doesn't go in if i read it."

"you'll get it eventually."

"Carry on reading." He pleaded.

"are you being serious?" I asked lowering my eyebrows.

"yeah, read it."

I didn't say no, i enjoyed reading, and it's the first book i'd read since i could remember. Gally lied down on his bed, his hands behind his head. I sat to the side of him and in front a little and was reading.

About an hour in i could feel my eyelids giving in on me and i was about to fall asleep. My voice could hardly be heard and i yawned every 30 seconds.

Gally pulled the book out of my hands but i didn't refuse. I felt another arm pull me backwards so i was lying on the bed. After a minute of hitting the pillow i was asleep. I wasn't aware of what was going on around me at all, i was too sleepy to care.
