It's been a long time

Chapter 1

No ones Pov:

Lexie found out she was pregnant 14 years ago and she ran away to Boston when Mark told her Callie was pregnant too. She never told Mark so Mark doesn't know he has a 14 year old daughter. Lexie's daughter is Madeline and she has never met her father she never really cared but she did want to go to seattle to see her family. It was the second week of summer and Madeline was really bored because her mom had to work almost everyday.

Lexies Pov:

It was 10 am and I came into Madelines room to wake her up. "Maddie wake up I have good news" I said pulling the blanket off Madeline. "Mom it's so early" Madeline complained. "We're going to Seattle for 2 weeks" I said. "Wait really you're joking" Madeline sitting up on her bed. "Yeah Meredith was begging me to go back for a while and I knew you wanted to go so we're going to go tomorrow in the morning" I said with a smile on my face. "Yay thank you Mom this is going to be the best summer" Madeline said hugging her mother. "Get ready we're going shopping for summer clothes because you have none" I said walking out of her teenagers room.

When we go shopping Maddie gets a lot of hoodies and long sleeve shirts she got a few jeans, and skirts with some shorts. It's been hot lately so I didn't really know why Maddie would get long sleeves but I didn't want to ask. "Where else do you want to go" I asked Maddie. "Nowhere else" Madeline said. "Ok so lets go home" I said as we went to the car. We drove for about 15 minutes until they got home Lexie and Maddie packed their bags and then went to sleep early for their flight.

Madelines Pov: 

The next morning I wake up and puts on a white oversized hoodie and black lululemon leggings she also put on her white slip on vans with her hair curled and down. "Mom I'm ready" I said walking out of her room. "Ok Maddie give me a second I'm making sure everything is off" Mom said walking in and out of rooms. "Lets go Maddie" Mom said walking out rolling her suitcase. Mom drives to the airport and we get on the plane that heads to seattle. Mom was always scared of planes but she always got over it. They got to seattle about 7 hours later because the flight was delayed by half an hour.

No ones Pov:

When they go to baggage claim Maddie gets her bags but drops them once she sees Zola. "Zola!" Madeline says running up to her and giving her a huge hug. "Maddie we finally meet" Zola says hugging Madeline back. Lexie walks rolling both of the suitcases because Maddie didn't help. "Lexie wow you look great even after 14 years" Meredith said to her sister. "Mer you don't look too bad yourself" Lexie said back. "So how have you been lately" Meredith asked. "I've been good I don't know about Maddie though she hasn't been herself lately but I hope it's just her being a teen" Lexie said looking at her sister. "Probably I don't understand Zola sometimes but her best friend Sofia does" Meredith said smiling. They walk to the car and they drive to their house. When they get there the girls get out and go to the living room to find Derek, Bailey, and Ellis "Hey guys" Madeline said as they all looked at her. "Maddie you've gotten so much bigger" Derek said. "Yeah that's what teens do they grow" Madeline says hugging Derek. "Dad are we going to the hospital" Zola asked Derek. "Yeah are you guys ready" Derek asked getting his keys. "Yeah we are so are Bailey and Ellis" Zola responded. "So then lets go" Derek said going to the car. "Is Aunt Lexie coming" Zola asked. "She is coming later with your mom" Derek says. "Oh ok" Zola responds.

Madelines Pov: 

They get to Grey-Sloan Memorial then go inside. "Wow this is way different than Mass Gen" I said looking around. "You get used to it after a bit" Zola says. We both go to the cafeteria and meet up with Sofia. "Hey Zo and girl I've never met" Sofia said sitting down. "Hey Sof this is my cousin I you could call her Maddie and Maddie this is Sofia" Zola told Sofia. I then get a call from Mom.
