It's been a long time

Chapter 5

Madelines Pov:

After a few hours Mom and Mark come into my room and I'm on my phone texting someone. "Hey Mads" Mark says. "Hi" I say not even looking up. "Maddie who are you texting" Mom asks looking a bit annoyed. "No one" I lied. "I think she's texting a boy" Mark said smiling. "Do I know this boy" Mom asked. "I'm texting Sofia" I lied again. "Yeah sure, how stupid do you think I am" Mom said. "I have good news I think" Mom said. "Tell me" I said putting my phone down. "We're moving to Seattle, Surprise" Mom said. "Really" I asked. "I had to attempt for us to finally move" I joked obviously they can't take my dark humor. "Maddie" Mom says looking at me with a serious look. "What this is my coping method joking around about these things" I explained. "Ok but are you happy at least" Mom asked. "Of course I am" I said faking a smile.

After us talking for a while they finally leave my room. I go to the bathroom and have a breakdown because I didn't want to go to Seattle, I did I really did but now everyone is going to look at me different. All of sudden I hear a knock on the door, I wipe the tears off my face like I was used to and made myself seem like I was never crying. I flush the toilet and go outside "Mark what's up" I say. "Are you ok" Mark asked. "Yeah I'm fine" I respond. "Are you sure because you don't look fine" Mark said. "What else do you want me to say I just had a breakdown in the bathroom and I'm tired if being in this fucking hospital" I yelled shedding a tear. "Watch your language and I haven't gone through what you're going through but I bet it's hard and someday it will get better I'm not saying it's going to be soon but it will happen one day and I know everyone says this and it must be annoying but I'm here if you need to rant, cry, talk I don't know but I will always be here for you" Mark says hugging me while I'm crying with my face against his chest. "Thank you Mark" I say still hugging him. "Anytime Mads" Mark says giving me a kiss on the head. After hugging for a few minutes I lay down on the bed and continues to watch supergirl I love this show and Mark is watching with me not understanding exactly what's happening.

Mom comes into the room to find Mark asleep and me texting again. "Hey Maddie" Mom says sitting next to me. "Hi mom" I say. Mark wakes up to us talking "Hey Lex" Mark says in a raspy voice. "Hi I need to tell you guys something" Mom says out of no where. "Are you pregnant" Mark asks which makes me giggle. "No do I look fat" Mom says. "No you've been moody" Mark says. "You're an ass" Mom says slapping Mark on the shoulder softly while I giggle. "So what's the news" Madeline asks. "I was looking for houses and I found this really pretty one 5 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, 2 stories, a huge garage, with a huge backyard, and a pool" Mom says excited. "Pictures we need pictures" I say.

"It's so pretty, but it's so big for just the the two of us" I say. Lexie looks at Mark with a 'do you tell her or do I' "Um Maddie it's not gonna be only the two of us" Mom says. "What do you mean is this going to be a frat house like Aunt Mer" I ask which makes mom laugh. "No and I actually used to live in that frat house" Mom said. "Really with who" I asked. "There was Mer, Derek, Alex, Izzie, George, Jackson, and April" Mom says. "That's a lot but who's gonna live in this one though" I ask. "So Mark is going to live with us and well Sofia comes every other week" Mom says. "Really so we're going to live like a family" I say. "Yes we are" Mom says. "I know I should've asked you please don't be mad" Mom added. "I'm not mad I'm happy" I say. "Ok good" Mom says relieved. "Mark you're gonna live with my annoying ass be glad" I say. "And you're gonna live with a dad which is great because I don't like boys dating my daughters" Mark said. "Now that's just annoying" I say. "You are too" Mark said laughing. "It's getting late we need to go to sleep" I said. "It's 11 mom it's not late" Madeline said. "Fine but I'm going to sleep" Lexie said. "Good night" Mark and Madeline said.
