It's been a long time

Chapter 7

Madelines Pov:

After I calm down and go downstairs I sit on the floor scrolling through tiktok. Mark and Mom were talking and they were smiling Mark kept giving Mom kisses which made me uncomfortable. "Get a room" I say. Mark gives Mom more kisses to annoy me. "You guys are annoying" I say rolling her eyes. Mark smiles then the doorbell rings. "That must be the movers" Mark said opening the door.

The movers got everything into a truck and left it took about 2 hours to finish everything. "Mom what are we going to do now" I ask. "Go to Seattle" Mom said. "Wait the flight is today" I ask. "Yeah it is" Mom says. "At what time" I ask. "At 7 which is in two hours so we need to give the keys to the landlord then we head to the airport" Mom says. "So lets go" Mom says heading out the door to go to the car. I get my mini book bag and walk out with Mark. "Mark can you drive because mom drives slow" I say with a giggle. "Hey!" Mom says offended. "But either way I don't like driving so you will drive" Mom added. We go to the Landlord and mom gives the keys and now we are on their way to the airport.

Once we get to the airport we were early so we sat and I was talking to Nick while mom and Mark were talking to each other. "Flight 2561 get ready to board the plane" we all hear on the intercom. "Let's go in line" Mark said standing up with me and mom. When we board the plane we all sit right next to each other I was at the window, Mom was at the edge, and Mark was in the middle. Mark saw me fidgeting and taking deep breaths "Are you ok" Mark asks. "Um yeah" I say closing my eyes when the plane starts to move. "She's scared of flying, more than me" Mom whispers. Mark then grabs my hand "It's going to be ok" Mark says which for some reason relieves me a bit. The plane starts to move fast and goes up "Is it over yet" I ask. Mark laughs "Yes it's over" Mark says. "Don't laugh I was really scared I still am" I say. "Be like your mom she's already asleep" Mark says laughing. "I don't have my neck pillow thing though" I say. "I'll be your pillow come here" Mark said as I put my head on his shoulder which wasn't too hard.

After 2 hours I wake up "Hey sleepy head" Mark said. "Hi where's mom" I ask. "Bathroom she had to pee" Mark said. "Oh well I downloaded some episodes to Wandavision wanna watch" I ask. "Yeah I don't know what's happening but sure" Mark says. Mom comes back from the bathroom. "What are you guys watching" Mom asked. "Wandavision" I answer. "Oh does Mark even understand" Mom asks. "No but I'm getting there" Mark said. Me and mom giggled.

A few hours had passed when we hear "Put on you're seatbelts we're about to land the plane." I put on my seatbelt when I feel Mark grab her hand which calms her down.

After the pleane lands we all go get our luggage and when I reach out to get my bag my sleeve goes up a bit and I saw some of my scars. I let go of her bag which slammed on the floor as I pulled down my sleeve. When Mark heard the bang on the floor he turned over to see me pulling down her sleeve. "Hey you good" Mark asked. "I'm fine let's go" I say picking up her bag and going over to Mom. "Who's picking us up" I ask. "Your Aunt Mer" Mom says as she saw Meredith outside. I walk over to them and give Zola a hug "Hey Zola" I say. "Hi how you've been you haven't called in like 2 weeks" Zola said. "Well I won't need to call you often because now I live here" I say. "Hi Aunt Mer" I say giving her a hug, Meredith and me were pretty close.

We get into the car and Meredith, Mom, and Mark are talking to each other and laughing while Zola and me were joking around in the back. "Are we going to the new house" I ask. "No we're staying at Mer's tonight but you know how I asked you and Sofia for what type of room you would like well it's there the house is complete so the interior designer comes and shows us around and all" Mom explains. "So Sofia is coming tomorrow" I ask. "Well actually she's at home because Callie and Arizona got pages she'll stay the night" Meredith said. "Yay sleepover" Zola said.

We get to the house and go in "Sofia" I yell as go and gives my sister a hug. "Maddie we're finally gonna live together" Sofia said with a smile. "Yes and I get to be a pain in your ass" I said giggling. "You better not be too annoying" Sofia said. "I won't" I said as she turned to Derek. "Uncle Derek is it me or is your hair whiter" I said jokingly. "Yeah I see it too"Sofia said giggling with me. "Your daughters are evil" Derek told Mark. "You don't even have to live with them" Mark said side hugging Madeline on his right and Sofia on his left. "We do it with love" I said high-fiving Sofia. "Girls get ready for bed we need to be out of her my 9 am tomorrow" Mom said interrupting the fun. "Ok good night Mom, Mark, Aunt Mer, and Uncle Derek" I said getting my luggage. "Good night third mom, Dad, Aunt Mer, and Uncle Derek" Sofia said. "Good night girls" they heard from everyone.

No ones Pov:

Sofia changed into an old shirt and shorts, Madeline changed into her mom's old Harvard hoodie and shorts and Zola changed into an old shirt and fuzzy pajama pants. "How do you not get hot in a hoodie" Zola asked. "How do you not get hot in fuzzy pants" Madeline charged back. "Whatever" Zola said rolling her eyes. "Are you guys tired yet" Sofia asked. "A bit" the other two responded. "Let's watch an episode of Friends we'll fall asleep watching it" Madeline said. They put on an episode and Madeline was the first to fall asleep then Sofia and then Zola. Sofia and Madeline were sleeping in Zolas room but on an inflatable mattress so both of the girls were asleep next to each other. Meredith goes to check on them because she hears noise when she opens the door she finds them sleeping so she turns off the TV and goes out.

Lexies Pov:

Meredith comes out of the room. "Lex we're alone now can we talk" Meredith asks Lexie. "Yeah what's up" I respond. "How's Maddie I know what happened and she seemed off when she got here" Meredith asked. "Mark told me something happened but I don't know what I was gonna ask him now" I said. "Ok I'll talk to you tomorrow good night" Meredith says going into her room. "Good night" I say as I see  Mark come into the guest room. "What was that all about" Mark asked. "She was asking me how Maddie was" I respond. "An um about that what happened at the airport something happened because I know her she seemed off" I said. "When she got her bag I heard it drop and I saw her roll down her sleeve I think when she reached out her sleeve rolled up and she saw her scars" Mark said laying down with me. "That explains it" I said laying with Mark. I turn off the lamp and cuddle with Mark. "Good night I love you" I said holding his hand. "Good night I love you too" Mark said giving her a kiss on the head.
