Lockheart served tea, cake and cookies to the crew at their usual table at Death by Decadence. They all had big news to share, and he swiftly took a set after arranging the dishes on the table.
"Okay, okay, okay! I'll go first," he said, each word accentuated with an excited clap. "So, we've been keeping this a secret for the longest, but, Saber--" he said, turning to her. "I've been seeing Zephyr."
"I KNEW IT!" Scarlett cried out. "I have an eye for these things."
"I actually already knew too," Saber replied sheepishly. "Zephyr had a thing for you since he first laid eyes on you. And to think Kaldur thought he was seeing me--"
"Gross," Lockheart hissed. "Buuuut, what you didn't know is that we plan on marrying our businesses together," he said saucily. "A video cafe. A sort of 'have your cake and eat it too' venture."
"That's adorable. Excellent news," Divya drawled, almost yawning. "My news is that I've been signed to a major modeling agency."
Everyone clapped for her.
"Thanks to Scarlett's fashion show in Milan, I can be an even bigger supermodel than I already am." She smirked smugly, but it quickly dissipated as she rolled her eyes. "Oh, and Richard is looking into becoming my stylist. I know, I know, what does Richard know about style?"
She suddenly blushed really deeply, taking everyone by surprise. "He . . . actually knows a lot. He's been doing my hair for two months now."
"What a sweet boyfriend," Desiree smiled. "I don't really have big news, besides that I'm expanding the business. Wally is coming onboard as a temporary counselor until he completes school for his Master's in Clinical Psychology."
Everyone clapped for her before turning to Saber expectantly.
"Nothing from me," she said. When everyone glared at her, she sunk in her seat. "Okay, okay. The Dragon God is being made a film, if that's considered anything?"
Everyone gasped dramatically.
"I'm currently working on the screenplay, but I'm gonna stay with Gotham Theatre for the most part. Kaldur is taking acting classes to become the star of my stage."
"Finally," Scarlett grinned. Saber hit her playfully, and she giggled before clearing her throat. "Well, I'm revamping my brand. Conner came out and told me--"
"That he's gay?" Divya quipped.
"--that he's responsible for the male designs you saw at my show," she said, completely ignoring her. "So, we're going into business together. Scarlet Stitches will become Rose & Kent."
Everyone clapped for her.
"We'll be launching winter of next year as a major name brand," she said excitedly.
"Well, I hope you can work on a very special design for me this year," Zamora gushed excitedly.
"What do you mean?" Scarlett asked.
She glanced around the table at every single face before outstretching her hands.
"All I can say is that you're all invited!"
They exchanged looks with each other as she stood from her seat, clapping her hands and doing a dance.
