Eventually I stop crying, the slow breathing of Eret calming me. I kick off my shoes, landing with a quiet thud on the grass. I cover the taller in blankets, sliding under next to him and curling up for the night.
[sorry to start this off with a time skip to the morning]
I wake up, the sun barely illuminating the sky. I yawn and rub the sleep from my eyes, cuddling into Eret for warmth. I hide my face into his chest, straddling him with my legs as I throw an arm over the mentioned.
I don't know how much time passed before I hear the rumbling groan of Eret as he wakes. I look up to him, smiling. "Good morning sleeping beauty," I say with a giggle.
He looks down at me, shaking his head as he yawns. (I wanted to put 'I whisper into his ear, "Owa owa"' but I have self control) I huff a laugh, smiling despite the perils that will come later on. I speak softly and quietly, "Today's the day. This country will go down."
I detach myself from Eret, rolling out of the bed, quite literally. The only noise that escaped my mouth was a squeak, and a thud indicating my tumble. I lay, arms sprawled above my head, comfortable.
"I am grass boi," I whisper at a moderate volume, the laugh of Eret, peering down at me, booming compared to my quiet. I look directly at his uncovered eyes, "Grass boi says that you should shut the fuck up."
He begins to laugh again, and I merely cover his mouth in a silent protest. He continues laughing, silent now, his breath warming my palm. I can't help but smile to myself, this guy is like a brother to me.
For gods' sake, I'm betraying a whole ass country with him! This is like, extreme sibling banter. (Just the good ol betray a fucking country) As Eret calms down, the warmth leaves my hand, tearing me from my thoughts. "Is grass boi going to get dressed for the day? Because I am going to right now," Eret questions, standing as I roll to not be stepping upon.
"I guess," I mumble, standing as he leaves the room quietly. I put on my under-armour clothes, looking to the armour stand I have in the corner. The battered and scarred netherite dimly shining from it's enchantments. I heave the weighty chest plate off, and onto my body.
:-FLASHBACK-:
I heave my chest plate onto myself, the rest of my armour already on. I attach my cape, the soft fur of the mantle almost unfit for the battle ahead. I grab my crown, made of thorns and vines.
"Y/N," a monotone voice speaks, "he is ready for you. Come to the arena whenever you're ready." "Thank you, Sir Irince," I respond, looking myself over in my mirror. On thing is missing to my set.
My gold-plated gloves clink against the sharp, enchanted netherite blade. "It's going down for real," I say under my breath. I move silently to the door, and seconds later I enter a giant coliseum, cheers echoing about.
Across I see a thin man, adorned in green. He has blond hair and is wearing a green and white striped bucket hat. I can see his black wings lightly flexing, and the gleam in his blue eyes.
The announcer's voice echoes across the stadium, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Baricle Stadium. The duel that is about to commence is between Y/F/N and Philza Minecraft. This is a 10 tap duel, if one of the opposers gets 10 hits on the other, they win. Please, let the match begin!"
