I open the door to my part of the wall, letting Sapnap in first, shutting the door behind me as I walk in. He looks around, eyes scanning everything, stopping on Korn and her tank. Speaking of, I need to find someone to give that extra egg.

Sapnap turns back to me, asking a simple question, "You got a fish?"

"Korn isn't a fish, she is an axolotl, thank you very much," I say, and he lets out a small chuckle at the name of my pet.

"Korn," the taller notes, and begins bizarrely beatboxing. "I don't get it," I take a seat on my bed, Sapnap following suit.

"So uncultured, Y/N! You don't know Korn?" he asks, using unnecessary emphasis while practically yelling.

"I don't! Wanna explain you... you piss goblin?!" I jab at the guy, yelling the entire time.

"Well maybe I don't!" he shouts, pushing me, and I fall lightly into my bed, the two of us laughing. This is the type of banter that I love in life.

"Well maybe I want you too!" I continue to yell, this time kicking him.

"Ow! Bro what the fuck," he whines, slapping me. I hit him back. He punches softly. I sit up and pull him down. We wrestle, and not the special adult kind, you nasty readers.

(Sorry 'bout that lemme just *repairs the fourth wall* ok now the story is back to normal)

Tumbling about on the bed, not taking care of our surroundings, we fall off. And, to add salt to the wound, Sapnap falls on top of me, when I've already had the wind knocked out of me from falling onto my back.

I let out a wheeze from the bottom of my lungs, feeling it rip through my body. With all the air I can muster, I force a single word out my mouth, "Off." He listens to me, hearing the raspy way my voice barely made noise and feeling the wheeze from my body.

After he rolls off, he looks at me, "Sorry."

(Bro this is so awkward how do I write this I feel awkward writing it is this how you guys feel reading scenes like this? Also, a reminder, Sap and Y/N's relationship is completely platonic, as well as everyone else but Eret— well Punz is a one sided, broken hearted love but shh)

"It's fine," the words of reassurance come without second thought, as I stand up. "I think I'm gonna go check on Eret, I'll be right back," I open the door, and close it behind me.

I walk the few steps across the way to my twin tower, and open the door.

Nothing. Nobody. Just dead silence.

Where... where is he?

"Eret?" I call out, feeling as though my heart has dropped, or simply left.

There's no response. I continue into the tower, and there's no signs of recent habits, like brushing his hair when he's bored, or painting his nails to have something to pick, or- or... where is he?

I climb up, scanning each floor with my eyes as I go. Each floor, nothing. No sign. I climb down after reaching the top, feeling betrayed, no message back, not here, where is he? I step off the ladder and go to the door, reaching to it.

I see my hands, they're trembling, with anger, sadness or a mix, I don't know. I open the door, and shut it behind me, going back to my tower and hugging Sapnap. I need something, someone right now.

He hugs back, slightly swaying. I feel the tears start rolling and I bury my face into his shirt, squeezing a little tighter. He leans his head down close to me, whispering into my ear, "What's wrong, did anything happen?"

I sniff and look up, "Nothing happened, he wasn't there, and," I let out a choked sob, "he never responded when I messaged him hours ago. I don't know what's wrong."

He rubs small circles into my back, a kind, soothing gesture. "It's ok, Y/N. Skeppy does that to Dad all the time, the first time it happened he freaked out just like you, turns out Skeppy was out mining and fell asleep. It will be alright, got it?"

I just hum, and that's a good enough response for him, as he flops onto my bed again. He opens his chat and starts typing, and I lay down beside him, looking up at the plain ceiling.

I roll onto my side, looking at Sapnap, "Thank you, I needed that." I yawn right after I speak, and he giggles. "I'm always happy to help you, Y/N," he responds and I feel as though my head is clouded with warm darkness. I curl up, closing my eyes hoping for sleep.

about 45~ minutes later

I hear the door open and I lift my head, the sound waking me. I rub my eyes, clearing my sight and the crust away. I'm curled up beside Sapnap, who too, is yawning and just getting up. He must've fallen asleep not long after me.

I look to the door where someone entered, and I see a familiar void-skinned demon walking over. Of course Badboyhalo is smiling as he crouches to my level, brushing hair away from my face with his claw-like nails.

"Hello Y/N," his voice is cheery as always, and he reaches to clasp on if my hands between his own. "How are you?" he asks the question, although he knows the answer.

"I'm ok, with a lack of better words," I move my other hand to the top of his, creating a handwich (WHAT ARE YOU?!).

(*sobbing* and idiot sandwich!)

"I get that, but you know what? It'll all be ok, Eret will come home and life will return to its ever teetering balance," BadBoyHalo consoles me, bumping his forehead against mine.

"Bad! I have an idea for something to cheer her up," a voice pipes up from behind me. Sapnap crawls to the edge of the bed, dangling his legs to the floor. "We can take her to the festival, because isn't that happening today?"

The demon lights up, his sun white eyes widening. "Yes! Let's go now, Y/N, get up, we're going to a festival," BadBoyHalo beams with excitement, letting go of my hands and stepping away so I can get up.

"Wait- can I get changed to something better and fix my hair?" my request seems to turn gears in BadBoyHalo's head, eventually flicking a lightbulb.

"Oh! Yes! You do, uh, whatever you do while Sapnap and I wait outside, alright?" I nod, the two men stepping outdoors, leaving me inside. Alone again.
