Niki and I watch as the sun slips down the horizon, leaving a trail of blood in her beautiful wake. Sapnap left several hours ago, leaving the three of us, Niki, Eret and I, to find something to do.
Eret had decided to go make dinner, and that left Niki and I to find our way to where we are right now.
"Y/N, wanna go visit Wilbur?" the girl beside me asks, the name bringing the want for violence to my d/h (dominant hand).
"No."
"I've caught wind from Tubbo rhat Techno's with them."
I sigh, "I still dont. I'll escort you safely there, let me know when you're getting ready so I can take you back. Tomorrow. We can't have our guest running off so quickly, it'll seem like Eret and I are terrible hosts!"
She nods at my over exaggeration, patting me on the shoulder a silent goodnight before pushing herself off the wall. Based off of pure instinct I lurch forward to grab her, panic flaring in my brain. I force myself to calm down, making my brain understand that Niki is ok, and doesn't need saving.
I sit back, eventually laying down, looking at the stars. I make note of the constellations I remember from when I used to be with him. He was perfect, but our love just wasn't right for the other. We ended off on good terms, even hanging out as friends, as if we were never in a relationship.
~~flashback~~
I look up at the man, into his emerald eyes. Foolish, a god, of the skies, life, and death, towers over my shortness. The giant height difference never stopped us from being in love.
"Hey Y/N, look at the stars," Foolish says pulling me closer as I look up at the darkening sky. He points to three stars, in a diagonal line, "That's part of a constellation, it's called Orion's Belt," he points to more stars, making an outline, "and that's the rest of Orion."
"Wait, Fooly, does that mean that Orion is naked from the top up?" I ask, a goofy grin spreading on my face as he looks down at me. His shark headdress, made of silk and gold wires and beautiful jewels, jingled with the motion.
His eyebrows are raised upon the soft yellow canvas of his square face. "I— actually,— wait no, I don't want to think about that, Y/N no," he answers, a little smile appearing on his face as he huffs out a laugh.
A single large hand reaches down, cradling my face. "I love you so much Y/N," Foolish whispers before leaning down, pressing his lips to mine. The feeling is something I should be used to, but this time, it feels graphically different. As if light, mingled with strength is pouring through Foolish's body into mine.
After a short few seconds, he pulls away. "What was that?" I ask breathlessly, reaching a finger up to feel my lips, normal as always. I'm close enough to see the small cloud branded into his skin, so faint, but there nonetheless. He whispers to me, "The gift of immortality, my lovebird."
~~end of flashback~~
I break away from the trancelike mode, reverting to my normal state, just a little sleepy. Or maybe I just need to go to bed. Yeah, probably that.
I scuttle over to the top of the stairs, untrusting in my own ability to stand, let alone walk, in my lulled state. As well as not walking over or the stairs, I just scoot down the stairs. My method is akin to how a child of whom doesn't yet understand the concept of stairs would.
At the bottom of the stairs, I stand and gingerly step across the way to Eret's turret. Opening the door, I see the man himself reading on the bed, clearly by the light of his eyes. His glowing set snaps over to me, harsh then softening once he registers me in his head.
"Hey," he says while patting the large area beside him, an invite. "Hi," I respond, snatching a pair of sweatpants of Eret's and climbing up the ladder to change. Quickly enough, I'm in my usual sports bra and a pair of Eret's sweatpants. Just as I got up, I repeat the action, just backwards this time.
Eret teasingly lets out a wolf whistle as I step off the latter and pad over to the bed. His gaze follows me as I cross the foot of the bed, and as I approach the side nearest the door, his head lolls to the side. I softly laugh as I see his scruffy face, a loopy smile present, his eyes almost closed, mere slits on his face.
I slip under the covers, and almost immediately embraced with warmth, Eret, presumably. I lean in against his chest, his body heat nice against my back. "Hey," he whispers, breath tickling my ear. "Did I ever tell you how much I love you?"
I flip over to face him looking into his eyes, examining every glowing cell with my own pair of eyes. "You've told it to me over a thousand times, but not just through words, but actions too, my song," I whisper back, picking the words out like reading a book.
"Hm, really? So poetic, it's almost like you're stealing from someone," Eret says as he gently traces his own lines on my face with a single finger. He does it so delicately, as if I am a porcelain doll that he loves so.
I lean into the touch and allow my eyes to flutter shut.
Woo swag, school's over and I now have allergy medicine, hope y'all enjoyed this chapter and see you soon! Ily all, and thank you for the support <3
