My heart skipped a beat when she said she would go with me and find my missing family.

I had told her everything in the last two weeks. How I was kicked out of the house because of what I was and for several months I struggled to survive. When I finally came back home, hoping for my family to be there, they were gone. But not like they had moved.

Everything was still there; the furniture, the posters, the pictures, the memories. Except the place had been ransacked, and I could smell the blood even though I didn't see any. I told her about that. About everything.

Well, almost everything.

There was one thing i refused to show her.

And I hope she never has to see it.

I looked her, and suddenly she was clutching her hair, eyes squeezed shut. I was filled with worry at the sight of her in pain.

My girl! My soul mate! My other half! I would rather die than see her in pain.

" Are you okay?" I asked, cupping my hands around her soft cheeks. I stare into her hazel eyes, which had slowly been turning more blue everyday, proving that her werewolf was slowly coming out.

" Yeah... I think i swallowed some water that's finally getting to me." She said and smiled.

I smiled and let my hands fall to my side. She may of said she was okay, but my senses told me she wasn't. I didn't press the matter however, but let my heart continue to fill with concern for her.

For several minutes we sat on the shore against a tree. We never spoke, but I was thinking.

I need to get back to my house. Then maybe I can find out where they have gone. God I hope they are alright. What if the werewolf hunters found them? I've seen so many stories about how people have captured and killed so many of us.

I frown and look over at Autumn. Just by looking at her, I know she is in pain, but i don't know why. Why couldn't she tell me?

Doubt enters my mind. Does she not trust me? What happened? Was it my fault? My hands start shaking, and I know I need to start walking before anything happens.

"Hey, let's get going. We have a long way to go, and the best place to start is looking around my old house." I announce, standing up. I pull Autumn up, but she still seems to be lost in thought.

She dumbly nods and takes my hand. I start to lead her to my home. At least where my home used to be.

We walked for several hours in silence. I didn't know how much longer I could take the silence until we finally reached my house.

I started to walk towards it when I saw several black vans pull up in front of my house. I snarled and hid behind a bush in the neighbor's yard, pulling Autumn with me.

Autumn squeezed my hand. We looked at each other and nodded.

"Stay here." I command Autumn. She frowns and starts to shake her head. " Please." I beg.

She stares at me for what seems to be an eternity before nodding her head and sighing audibly.

She can't get hurt. I don't know if I could live with myself...

I think about her beautiful smile, her beautiful laugh, her beautiful eyes. Her beautiful everything. She was perfect as a person could get.

I smile and begin to inch my way towards my house, watching several men hop out of the vans and make their way inside.

I look at their vests, and inhale sharply.

They found out about us. My family... What have they done with them?
