"Jaybear you need a break, I got some water if you like some. Or we can loosen those chains and give your arms a break?" His head was slumped down with blood dripping out of his mouth. I went a little overboard with my brass knuckles.
There wasn't a part of his body that wasn't dripping with blood. He was bleeding from head to toe; cuts here, slashes there, even a nice picture of a dog was carved into his chest. My art skills are amazing, I like to think so. "Fuck. Did I kill you?"
"Not even close."
"Good, my intentions aren't to kill you. I'm not the one that's going to be signing that death certificate." I haven't forgotten the deal Onika and I made. She wants to be the one to kill him. Our deal said nothing about me not being able to have some fun. Funny enough I actually want to see if she has the heart to do go through with it. I mean anyone can talk big, but when the time comes for you to go through with it, can you do it.
Gun in your hand and its aiming at somebody's head, will you pull the trigger? For me that's a no brainer I'm emptying the clip. Call me cold but that's just how it is. Nicki is not like that, she needs to have a reason. Baby won't shoot just to shoot, there has to be a legitimate threat in order for her to fire off a shot.
There's nothing wrong with that either, I don't see one. But hesitation can also get you killed. If I see my enemy has a soul I'll eat at it. I'll use their moral code to lower their guard and kill them. I'm funny like that, in any situation I'm always choosing to survive. "While we wait let's talk. I've been asking questions this whole time, it's your turn. Ask me anything."
"Ight....do you think she loves you?"
"I know she loves me."
"How?"
"She was the first person I saw when I got saved. It was written in her eyes, beneath all the sadness. In that moment I saw the love she has for me."
"Do you think you deserve her?"
"What do you mean?" He laughed. Don't get me wrong I understood the question, but how would you answer it without sounding egotistical. If you think about the question, he's asking if I'm good enough for her or vice versa. Meaning am I worthy enough to give myself away to her. Not to be confused with asking if you deserve something. Like say your in an abusive relationship and you ask "do I deserve this" the answer would be no simply. No one deserves to be beat on. But ask the question how's he's asking, your answer will be egotistical.
You can only answer by singing your own praises. Like "oh I'm rich, smart and good looking of course you deserve me" or you can spit out some Shakespeare ass love letter and sound like a metaphorical ass hat. Either way the only way for that question to be answered is if Nicki was the one to ask it. That way I can list all the qualities that make me think I deserve her, or I should receive what she's giving. "I'm not some God, what you should ask is "do I need her" that way I can give you a legitimate answer that doesn't come off cocky."
