"you like them young, huh?" luca questioned, leaning slyly on the table and taking her glass of water in her hand, swirling it around before take a slow sip through the straw. her light eyes trained on devin, studying him and watching his reaction.

the man was taken aback. feeling himself choke on his wine as he carefully sat the glass down, wiping the liquid that had managed to escape from the corners of his lips. he cleared his throat before looking at her, "what are you talking about?" he questioned.

the two looked at each other. lion trying to pry on lion. in devin's book luca was already on strike one. after weeks of being persistent, the woman had agreed and in devin's book it meant she would lose. luca on the other hand, she pried slowly. she watched how they all played the game and took it from them and waited for the moment to finally make her move, "how you like your woman," she spoke, "you like them young and in the same friend group."

devin shook his head, a bemused smile on his lips, "lex was never a hook up." he stated, leaning in and look at luca. she was a beautiful woman and one with many chapters that he wanted to read. the perfect pouty lips that he wanted to taste because something told him they tasted like he needed them. luca stood no taller than maybe 5'5, and her once brown hair was dyed and highlighted, and her light eyes changed colors depending on the clothing she wore but he liked them best when they resembled honey.

"then what am i?" she leaned in as well, her manicure nails tapping slowly against the table and devin wasn't sure what he was suppose to say because he knew what he wanted from her but now he wanted to open the book and spend an eternity reading her. luca smiled, "awe," she forced her lips into a pout, "cat caught your tongue?" the teasing in her voice made devin snap to look at her which made luca turn her smile into a teasing smirk.

shaking his head, devin was in uncharted waters. he had never had a woman that wasn't so easily pleased by his charisma. one who wasn't eager to be in his presence. the challenge luca brought him made him want her more. maybe to prove to himself that he would come up with the W. it was a big ego fighting another big ego, and they both refused to stroke it, "you keep playing." he stated, "ain't 'bout no games, ma."

taking her pointer finger and using it to draw circles around the glass, luca click her tongue, "why?" she questioned, "you're afraid you'll lose?"
