devin watched luca from where he stood. a smile on his lips as he took a sip from his wine. there was something so peaceful about her at times and it was scary to get close to someone. that was not the plan, the plan was to find a consistent body for him, but the universe had other plans. devin felt the grass on his feet as he walked closer to her, his body pressing up against her his arms bringing her closer to him and luca just molded perfectly against his chest, "i would offer you some, but you're a baby." he joked as he finished off his glass making luca roll her eyes.
"you stay messing with younger girls." she retorted, "seems like you're the problem here." and devin could hear the joke laced through her voice.
"oh." devin nodded, "i'm the problem?" he questioned a demised look on his face as he looked down at luca.
it was what he enjoyed about the dynamic that he had with luca. they balanced each other so well. her personality kept him on his toes but also brought him back to earth. he felt so leveled headed around her, he could breathe clearly. that was exactly what she starting to be to him, a breath of fresh air. she made things easy.
luca stayed quiet. she enjoyed the warmth he brought her. it made her insides churn and turn and flip and flop, "have you ever been in love?"
