4: Let The Games Begin

The heat of the burning forest was gettin overwhelming. Kyo didn't want to leave his post though, if he did they might not be able to find him easily. But it was just too much. 

With a sigh he wiped the sweat from his brow and walked away from the flames and further into the battle. No one had come to him with injuries yet anyways so he assumed it would be okay. The closer to the students he got the more he could hear. A few shouts, some quirk use causing the ground to tremble. Suddenly he regretted leaving his station, even if it was probably enveloped in flames by now. 

"Hurry Tsu!" A voice called out. It was like slow motion, a brown haired girl charged out right in front of him. Their eyes met and it seemed like ages until her foot hit the ground. A green haired girl was with her and they both stopped dead at the sight of him. "You!" She shouted the moment they stopped moving. 

Kyo panicked and started to run into the trees in the other direction but soon the green haired girl caught him and pulled him back. "Hey, don't run, we're the heroes." She said in a monotone voice. The brown haired girl smiled kindly. "Yeah, don't worry, you're safe with us!" she told him. 

'That's just peachy' Kyo thought bitterly 'They don't even recognize me as a villain'. "I don't need any help actually." He said with a small smile "So you guys should probably go back to the mountain base.". They weren't the target so there was no point in challenging them in combat. He also probably wasn't the best although Toga had tried to teach him the important stuff. 

"What do you mean? How did you get here anyways?" The brown haired girl asked, taking a step towards the 15 year old. Tsuyu already had a bad feeling about the situation, what was the boy from the mall doing here? 

"Uraraka!" Tsu managed to shout right as Toga lunged at her. "Ah! Such pretty girls! You didn't tell me you were flirting!" She exclaimed with a smile. Tsuyu stumbled back into a tree, barely missing the blade. 

"Flirting?" Kyo asked, mildly offended "You think I'd go for them?". Toga laughed like a maniac and lunged at Uraraka, this time cutting at flesh. 

"What are you doing?" The hero student asked with fearful eyes "Get away from the stabby girl!". Kyo met her eyes with a blank expression. "Why? Toga's not going to hurt me?" He said, a little confused at how they hadn't caught on yet. 

Carefully he grabbed Toga's arm and kissed her cheek where it had gotten burned. Both girls watched in horror as the wound healed within seconds and Toga smiled. "You go back, I want the pretty girl's blood!" Toga said, rushing back into the battle. Kyo gave the girls a sheepish smile and a wave before walking away. 

He had confidence that Toga could handle it on her own. If Kyo was being honest he was probably more of a hindrance to her than an ally in combat. He did wonder what sort of an impression he gave the girls as a villain. Did he seem like the sadistic type or perhaps he looked kinda cool? Quickly he shook his head, embarrassed at his own thoughts. He wasn't here to be villain of the year, he was support. The kid hadn't even hurt one person yet in his week and a half long career as a member of the infamous criminal organization, Kyo didn't really count as a villain yet. 

As the battle raged on Kyo stayed put in the forest near where Toga was fighting until he received the signal to go back. The real fun began when they had the target in custody.

Bakugou Katsuki woke up disoriented. He was chained up like has at the sports festival but without the muzzle. 

Quickly he tested the restraints to no avail. They weren't going to budge. 

"Could you shut up?" A voice groaned out in the darkness. The teen's head whipped around to where it originated from only to be met with the same inky blackness that surrounded him. He couldn't see a single thing, not even the outline of a window. "I'm trying to sleep here!" the voice called out. Bakugou could hear it a little better this time, it was high and a little rough, probably from being woken up. 

The noise of shifting filled the room and a light switch was flicked. "Better?" The voice, who now had a body asked. It was a teenage boy, shorter than Bakugou and probably younger with black hair and bright red eyes. He was wearing black shorts and a bright pink bathrobe that looked more than a little big on him. "Sorry, didn't realize you'd come to so soon.". 

"What the fuck am I doing here?!" Katsuki roared "Tell them to let me fucking go!". The boy sighed right as someone knocked on the door. It was their damn leader. 

"Well, well." Shigaraki smirked "I'm glad to see you're awake.". "What am I doing in this shit hole? Let me go!" The blonde growled. 

"I'm hurt!" Kyo said dramatically "How dare you insult my bedroom like that!". Truthfully the room was a disaster zone like every other part of the bar, but still. Bakugou on the other hand was confused, the other kid wasn't a captive? 

"Remind me again why you're sleeping on the job? You were supposed to be watching him." Shigaraki asked. Every damn day he became more like a nagging older brother. "And wearing that of all things! Stop borrowing Toga's clothes and at least wear a shirt!".

"Jokes on you." Kyo said, holding the pink bathrobe out like a skirt "This is Kurogiri's.". He left the stunned leader and Bakugou alone so he could change into some of his own clothes. 

When he returned they had moved Bakugou to the main room and had asked him to join, to which he loudly declined. "Its not as bad as you'd think." Kyo said as the league dispersed in frustration "You don't have to pay them, you get fed and no one touches you when you don't want them too. They don't take advantage of my quirk either, its entirely my choice to do anything. " Kyo said, taking a sip of some water. 

Bakugou looked extremely angry. "Why the fuck would they want a shrimp like you?! You should go find your fucking parents, brat!". The black haired teen flinched violently at the words. 

"Sure, haven't seen them in 12 fucking years but now is probably the right time to visit!" Kyo snapped, taking a seat on one of the couches. "Did these losers adopt you or something? Why the hell are you throwing your fucking life away?!" Bakugou asked, still shouting. 

"Well it was this or prostitution you spoilt fucking child!" Kyo yelled back. Both teens were absolutely fuming at each other now. "I'd rather be a villain than a slave!" Kyo spat, brandishing a knife at Bakugou's throat. 

There was a moment of silence before someone butted in. "That's enough. Shigaraki said to treat him as a equal besides, you've never actually used a knife before, have you? I don't want shit getting messy." Dabi said with a sigh. Kyo complied and set the knife down on the nearby  countertop. 

"Camino pizza delivery!" A voice called out. The world stood still for a second, then the fucking wall caved in.

The kidnapping experience here is so different from in Shatter I'm getting whiplash from doing them both in such a small timeframe. 

Welcome to the party we have rivalries and angst. Kyo's gonna have a rough time with Bakugou though and this is far from the last time they'll see each other.
