Kyo looked around the city with wide eyes. He had never been to such a nice part of town before. He had driven past it on Dabi's motorcycle before but they never stopped. Too easy to get recognized. Actually being here was way different.
Midnight was his supervisor for the day which Kyo was actually okay with. All Might or Recovery Girl would have been his first choice but at least it wasn't Aizawa. He had nothing against the hero, accept he did. Multiple things. Kyo didn't think he'd ever 'like' Aizawa.
"Slow down kiddo." Midnight chuckled. Seeing her in civilian clothes was weird but much better than the...unpleasant memories her hero costume brought up. Kyo made an effort to walk slower and took another drink of the...what was it called again? Boba? Yeah, that.
"How many people are there in this city?" He asked, amazed at the foot traffic. "More than you think." Midnight said "If you feel overwhelmed or anything, tell me. Since its a weekend everyone's a little hyper.". Kyo nodded quickly before something caught his eye. Colourful screens and controllers...video games? Like the kind Shigaraki used to let him play?
The pro hero must have noticed Kyo's interest. "We've got enough room in the budget to play some arcade games if you want?" She asked with a knowing smile. Kyo nodded vigorously and the two got some tokens.
"What about this one?" Midnight suggested. Kyo eyed the gun shaped objects cautiously. "There's no room to reload those?" He said. Midnight snickered a little and led Kyo over to the game. "They're not real guns, just controller shaped like guns.".
They stood on the platform and Kyo squinted as the tutorial came up. He couldn't read more than a few words before new text replaced them so he thought 'fuck it, I just have to shoot things, right?'.

"You're not supposed to kill me!" Midnight sighed. Kyo held his hands up in innocence. "I killed the zombies after!" "I was your teammate!" "I thought you had to shoot everyone, how was I supposed to know that was you!".
Midnight just sighed again and gave up. She was glad Kyo was having fun, and that both of their names were now listed as the machine's high score. Honestly the fact he got the high score did make her curious about Kyo's abilities. They thought he primarily used knives, they'd have to tell Snipe to keep a closer eye on his weapons. Usually they're not a problem since most people can't use them properly but they couldn't take a chance with leaving a weapon out.
As the two walked around in the afternoon sunlight, the pro hero noticed something was wrong. Too many people were walking in the direction opposite theirs, then they started running. "Kyo, stay with the crowd, I've got to check on this." Midnight said, pulling her bag tight around her. The startled teen nodded and shuffled backwards with the crowd.
More and more people filled the street as screams began to ring out. Nervously, Kyo looked back to see a large looking fire slowly creeping towards them. In his moment of distraction he was shoved out of the crowd into an alleyway.
With a thud he was chucked onto the concrete. Quickly he got up to rejoin the group but right as he did he heard a scream. It sounded like a man and it was much further in which meant this alley didn't just end at the next building. Kyo felt the ankle bracelet for a moment before deciding he should investigate.
The system of alleys went far, weaving back and forth between massive buildings. "Shut the fuck up!" Someone growled. Kyo's blood ran cold. Why did he feel scared? He had never been scared of stuff like this before. Not at the brothel, not with the league. Back when he was in the league he would have stabbed that guy with no hesitation.
