Light or the darkness

In the remanence of the dark dripping dungeon a woman unkept and unhinged sang a song off tune as she rocked in her cell.

Guard standing watch talk amongst them selves from a good distance away, "I can't believe we lost that Rock Paper Scissors match".

"We all have to do it but you're right, how did he beat us when all he did was play rock".

As they bickered a dark figure approached when sounds of something rolling came there way. "Who's There!".

A small can came at there feet, "you got spooked over a can-".

Exploding in a hiss gas's escaped in a plume of smoke knocking the men unconscious.

"Never let your guard down gentlemen", placing them in sleeping positions and taking there keys he walked along threw the cells.

The singing coming closer till it came to a stop once she saw the man, " . . If it isn't my darling boy . . Did you miss me? I missed you . . Last time we spoke it was so short~".

"We'll have more to talk about but first let's take you home", unlocking the door and taking off her restraints they slowly left the cell.

With an overwhelming expression in joy and a disturbing tone she asked one question, "I heard a boom~ how's my little lab rat~".

"Living", is all he said making her joy fade slightly.

"And the humans?".

"Multiplying", that's when her smile went away and replaced with a darkened expression of hatred and disgust.

"Mama has a lot of work to do", they walked out of the castle into a secluded location out of the capital.

In a hidden place on the outskirts of hot land was a lab with copies of her work with everything she would need . . . Everything but (Y/n).

"My lab~ oooh how I've missed having one~", spinning she got right to work.

Leaning on the door way the man watched his mother run around, "nice to see you never change . . Lin".

"Oh hush you! Mother is all I answer to Sire", she said with a sharpe tongue only to go back to what she was working on.

With a sigh he left expecting as much but not a word of gratitude or tears of joy for what he did.

"What else did I expect . . . Let's just hope she remembers to eat", with that he was gone and she was free.

Free to do as she needed and what was needed was the sacrifice of the humans and the weapon she made to function properly.

"Just wait my little mouse, Linny~ is going to make you our hero! My best work yet", deranged laughter echoed throughout the laboratory.

Gaster finished his explanation to the king just in time to be interrupted by rushing guards.

"M-my king!", they wheezed trying to get there breathing in control.

Everyone looked at the knight, "what is it".

"2319 has escaped there cell and we found two knights knocked out cold on the scene".

The king looked at me then at the Royal Guard Captain, "send guards out to look for the escaped prisoner! They are a threat to the whole underground!".

On his orders he was on in a flash with a large amount of guards, "with in that time Chara, Asriel, Midori, Shira and shun will have personal guards with them at all times!".

"What?!", Chara said.

"Dad!?", Asriel said feeling the same as Chara.

"Brothers im scared", Midori went to Asriel and Chara.

"Are we going to be alright?", shira asked while holding on to shun.

"Well be fine as long as we stay here . . Right", Shun looked at Chara and Asriel.

Toriel spoke up amongst them, "that's what the guards are for . . I also want a personal guard to watch over (Y/n) or to have her stay with us till there captured".

Gaster tightened his hold on me, ". . . (Y/n) . .".

Noticing this I looked up at him, "Dad?".

He spoke slowly with a sadness but seriousness behind his next words, ". . I-I need you to stay with your aunt and uncle for the time being".

Surprised he agreed so easily I stared at him with shock, "y-you want me to stay . . Are you sure".

He nodded and I looked back at Sans and Papyrus spoke up, "so .  . You won't be home for a while . . How long will she stay for . . I-I don't want to be apart from my sister . . ".

"Tch! . . . This is stupid! We should have dealt with it befo-".

"Sans! . . . Look boys I understand this is upsetting but it's for her safety".

Kneeling down he hugged us all and in that moment I knew I wouldn't be able to go home with them for a long time.

". . . I don't wanna be apart from you guys . . I got to use to sans reading us to sleep or if I have a bad dream Papyrus would stay up with me till I felt better . . Or dads late night snack hours when I would be a pain and bug you. .", I went on a rant that seemed pointless yet meaningful.

Papyrus was crying and so was I while Sans was upset and angry holding our hands. Gaster parted from the hug and held my free hand, "I promise to find them and put them away for a long time . . So until then . . Be a good girl for me and stay here where it's safe".

"I promise too! I promise to call you every night and we will train everyday! . . I can hear about your day . . . what you ate . . . If you having a h-hard time . . . .", papy was sobbing in between speaking.

"I don't make promises . . . But your the exception . . When you need me I'll be there . . That's my promise", he pressed his teeth to my forehead and papyrus did the same.

That night I watched them leave with anger worry and tears looming over them. I was scared and anxious but mostly mortified that she was free and I knew . . She would come after me.
