Soul connection

Entering the library he sat me down and made sure I wasn't hurt anywhere before speaking.

In a calm voice he looked into my eyes, "what in heavens where you thinking (y/n), do you understand what could have happened to you".

I had my head held down as he spoke to me, "you put your self in a Dangerous situation that could have been dealt with by adults . . .".

He stopped speaking and lifted my head to look at him, "you're very intelligent so I know you wouldn't have done this with out a reason".

"I-I . . . I felt like I needed to save her, she was scared and confused".

He raised his eyebrow, "how do you know what she was feeling?".

I placed my hand over my soul and then my eye, "something happened when we came here, my eyes felt like they were burning and they turned green . . . I was able to see what she saw and feel what she felt . .".

"And in feeling her emotions you felt the need to save her life", he said and I nodded.

"Could this had have anything to do with what you told me before? It's a theory but can you still feel her emotions now", he said looking into my eyes using magic.

"It's only extreme emotions, like traumas or fear . . It's difficult to explain but after I saw her soul I seemed to be able to know where she was but I brushed it off as my imagination", I said telling him what I had been feeling.

"I see, I'm going to need to talk to the king about this but you might have more then just a special gift", he didn't question me further.

He picked me up and carried me out of the room, he didn't do this lightly since he didn't want to treat us like children unless he needed to, so in this case it was needed.

"Sans watch over her closely while I speak to the king . . .", he was reluctant to put me down but did so.

"Right . . .", he left and there was silence.

Papyrus spoke up, "how are your eyes? Do they still hurt".

"N-no not any more", I rubbed around my eye showing him I was fine.

"(Y/n), what happened . . How did you know she was in trouble. I never heard of any monster being able to do that", Chara said curiously.

"He's right (y/n), not even our top royal mage can do what you did", Asriel was also questioning me.

"What? So she's stronger then the royal mage", papyrus didn't understand what they were getting at but was impressed none the less.

Sans asked one question and it was something I didn't even think about, "if you were able to do that with the princess . . . Could you do that with all humans? Or is she special".

"All . . Humans ? . . .", I said confused and unsure.

Everyone's eyes moved to Chara, "can you do that with me?".

"I don't know, I don't know how it works or how I was able to do it . . I just know how I felt . . She was scared so . . I reacted", I said slumping down to the floor.

Everyone's eyes looked at eachother and back to me, "just saying, if you are able to do the eye thing with me can you tell me, just so I have a heads up.

Chara broke the tension with those goofy words and sat next to me, "you're our friend so I know what you did was pretty cool, I just worry for you sometimes since your so accident prone".

He was treating me with kindness instead of the usual teasing, "Chara . . .".

Asriel and papyrus joined in,"she's lucky, I want a special connection to! She's my sister and yet all we do is finish each others-".

"Puzzles", I said with a smile.

"That's what I was ganna say!", he was smiling like a ray of sunshine.

"Well whatever the connection, now you have a chance to be her guard if you wanted", Asriel said this jokingly and I thought for a second.

"Uh- (y/n) that was a joke", sans said getting a bad feeling. Soon the others followed, "I know that look (y/n) Gaster, don't you dare even think it".

"It's to late she's already thought it",Chara said letting out an annoyed sigh.

"Oh that's- that's a my bad, a major my bad", Asriel said placing his hands over his face.

"Wait! Then we can work together and join the royal guards!", papyrus was the only one excited.

"We can work on a training schedule and build our skills", I said jumping up and papyrus met my hyped energy.

"Then we can prove our strength to the captain and we can be his apprentices or better yet royal guards in training! That would be so cool".

"We would be so cool!", I corrected him and we had an epic high five.

"Oh god it's like watching a moth burn on a flame", Chara said not even wanting to break our . . What ever he was watching.

"I had one . . And now there's two. . Younger siblings are to much work for one big bro to handle", sans groaned and flopped to the couch.

"W-well at least things have lightened up a bit . . . Hehe- heh", Asriel gave up the idea of stopping us.

Papyrus and I were in our own little world and making plans, we even used some of the books from the Royal library for examples and notes for later use.
