Sans was alarmed about my eyes and as soon as it was pointed out the feeling grew stronger and I stood up quickly. One hand over my chest, I slowly walked to the center of the path looking dead at the door ahead.
Sans came next to me holding my free hand, " . . . (y/n) . . . let's go get dad".
"No".
"(Y/n)-".
I tightened my hold on his hand and looked at him, "I'm going to need your help . . with them".
Sans flinched at the word and his next question was said with caution, "them, more then one? . . Are you sure".
I nodded not moving my eyes from the door, "one is hurt, I can feel it".
Sans was a bit creeped out that I was able to feel and was sure that it was multiple even though I haven't met them yet. "are you sure we cant wait for dad".
"If we do . . . they will die", My words left chills down his spine as I spoke in a serious yet monotone voice.
"Alright, you lead the way", Sans agreed to help documenting my every move for later.
Teleporting threw the ruins door we arrived to the house where I grabbed a cloak covering myself as not to scare them, "d-do you do this alot?".
"the king gave me permission to come here and water the plants", i said leaving the house. Sans put his hoodie over his head following me along.
My chest felt like it was burning as we walked along, 'the pain is getting worse . .'
the sobbing was getting louder as my eyes were now two colors of blue, 'they should be around the corner'.
"Come on! We can't give up . . W-we . . we can make it . . . right", there voice cracked and there hope seemed to diminish.
I turned the corner covering my face a bit with my hair, "hello".
"B-brother there's a person here", the little girl was supporting her brother who was the one hurt.
"Oh No, here let us help", Sans and I came over to help and see how badly he was hurt.
"D-do you know the way out, we . . well . . We were left here and saw a cave . . . we thought it was good for shelter but then the ground gave out . . we fell for so long i was sure we were-", she was shaking while her voice trailed off.
Sans stayed silent while I did most of the talking, "let's take you both somewhere safe to heal your brother".
"Heal . . . O-okay", she was sniffling while sans took the boy in his arms as I used magic to heal them as we walked.
"What are your names?".
"My name is shira, my brothers name is shun", she looked up at me and I could feel her eyes waiting for my name.
"Im (Y/n) and this is my brother Sans. When we leave there are going to be a lot of people around you . . . So be prepared for that", I said letting out a sigh.
"there's more people here!?".
"You dont need to worry about that for now. While we get there let me tell you a story", I told her the story of Monsters and humans and everything about the underground.
She was a smart kid, as I told the story she looked over at the monsters we passed by.
"Wow, so all of that . . It's true isn't it".
"What do you think?".
She took a bit to reply and looked up at me, "I think it's true".
We got to the house and I heard footsteps of guards like an organize stampede, "w-what's that sound".
"The guards . .", Sans said finally speaking as he kept walking.
"Shira, I want you to not be afraid and to trust me. We are going to meet people who want to help you", she nodded taking my hand.
"I also don't want you to be scared of me for what I look like . . . Midori, the baby I found wasn't scared because she was an infant but you're a kid . . So I may scare you and for that I'm sorry".
She was confused on why someone who saved them would be scary, "what do you-".
The guard came from the house and surrounded us making shira cling to me as the King and my father came out of the house.
"(Y/n), care to explain. If it wasn't for sans I wouldn't have found you".
Shira looked at the skeleton man then looked at us realizing what I meant. Taking off my hood I looked up with shimmering blue eyes, "They needed help! what else was I suppose to do . . He lost so much blood".
The king came over at a safe distance kneeling down, "you saved his life and for that I am greatly proud of you, however we made a deal. Do you recall?".
Slowly I spoke, "when a human arrives I am to report it to Father or His Royal Majesty the king".
"You understand you will be punished", he said in a saddened tone.
I nodded as Sans handed over the boy to him, "sorry sis, Its part of my job too ya know".
Shira was clinging to me, "u-um, please don't punish (y/n) . . She helped us and my brother would have died if she didn't come here".
"Shira, it's okay. I knew what would happen when I came to help", I pet her head and was about to walk away from her side when she pulled on the cloak.
"No! I-I . . I don't want you to go", she looked at the guards and was shaken.
I knelt down while she still had a hold on me, "My King if I may, I wish to take shira to the castle so she feels comfortable parting with me".
Asgore let out a sigh and smiled at me ruffling my hair, "very noble of you my young knight".
In a whisper I said, "I do hope your not teasing me uncle".
He chuckled and stood up telling the guards we were departing while I took hold of Shira in my arms. "Wa- wait I".
"You were hurt too Shira so don't fuss", I gave her a gentle smile.
'If she found out I ran out crying I wouldn't look so cool to her right now', I felt my doom building as father walked behind me giving me the look. 'im so not going to hear the end of this'.
