The next day, the family of the Fox Den gathered.

"It's urgent," was the only thing Bai Qian said to her family, and they immediately understood.

"We heard the issue about the only princess of the Su Jin Clan." said Bai Qian's mother, raising her eyebrows at Ye Hua. "That's quite something that you got yourself into, isn't it?"

Her fourth son laughed. "Yet our Xiao Wu is still as smitten with him as she was when they met."

Ye Hua bowed his head, and smiled a little.

"What do we do about her now?" Feng Jiu asked. "We can't just let her do as she likes. We have our pride too."

She looked at her aunt, and her aunt's eyes gleamed with something that Feng Jiu knew what to associate with: scheming.

"Don't worry," her aunt said, and Feng Jiu could have sworn her lips curved into a small smile. "We won't."

Su Jin refused to attend official meetings or events.

She refused to eat, refused to sleep, refused to leave her quarters.

She was too angry over the wreck of a wedding that had occurred that day. And, until now, she had not seen Ye Hua at all. She wasn't sure she even wanted to see him.

She had no doubt he was in Qing Qiu, with that Bai Qian.

She banged her fist on the table, allowing her tea that had long gone cold to topple over.

"THAT BITCH!" She shrieked, face contorting with rage, and angry tears came to her eyes.

"Your Highness-"

"Leave!"

She was never much of an earnest crier, but she let her tears fall anyway.

That night, there were two people, in different parts of the world.

One in joy, the other in sadness.

Le Xu went to Su Jin's quarters to visit.

She was sick of the girl's behaviour. She absolutely refused to see anyone, but Le Xu would no longer take her nonsense.

They needed a plan. And Le Xu had one.

She stormed into the room and her eyes widened at the scene before her.

Su Jin never got drunk.

Yet here she was, sprawled across her bed, an empty bottle of liquor on the floor. She was undeniably, clearly, drunk.

Dead drunk.

Seething, Le Xu pulled her by the arm and shook her awake.

Su Jin opened her eyes blearily. "Lady Le Xu?"

"What do you think you're doing, getting drunk in the Nine Heavens?!" Le Xu asked furiously.  "You of all people should know how to behave, especially in a place you've lived in all your life!"

Su Jin said nothing, only stared right ahead.

"I have another plan." Le Xu continued.

Su Jin glared at her. "Remind ourselves what happened the last time we executed your plan?"

"That was because we did not plan it far enough! How were we to know that Zhe Yan would disrupt it all?"

"And this time?" Su Jin asked, her curiosity piqued. "No one will disrupt us? You are certain?"

"I would say so." Le Xu's eyes glittered. "I cannot allow my son to marry that wicked fox, no matter what Heavenly Lord says."

"What is it?"

"We take the one person the Fox Clan would kill for."

"Who?"

"Think, Su Jin, think!" Le Xu said impatiently. "Who is the person they treasure most?"

"The Queen? And the Princess?"

"You're right. The Princess of Qing Qiu, Bai Feng Jiu."

Su Jin laughed helplessly. "She is under the protection of Donghua Dijun, Si Ming and Taichen Palace. They would never allow a single hair on her head to be harmed."

"So we have to bring Donghua Dijun into it."

"What?!"

Le Xu smiled. "Don't worry. I have it all figured out. We don't need to harm him. She will come on her own."
