"Zhe Yan, what must I do to get to Su Su?" Ye Hua's voice shook. He would try anything if it meant that he could get back to her.

"You don't have to do anything. In just a while, I'll bring you to my Peach Grove. She landed there."

Ye Hua jumped up. He should have known. He'd brought her there before, and she had loved it so much. Why hadn't he seen it before? She would obviously have landed there if she was Bai Qian. After all, other than home in Qing Qiu, she frequented the Peach Grove the most for Zhe Yan's wine, and just to enjoy the scenery.

"No rush," Zhe Yan said, noticing Ye Hua's anxiety. "Listen to me first. Now, Xiao Wu told me that you dug out her eyes. I want to know why."

Ye Hua's face, so filled with joy and surprise earlier, turned pale. Tears trickled down his face. There it was again. Him digging out her eyes had caused her to jump off Zhuxian Terrace.

Even though he now knew that she was Bai Qian, it still didn't take away the heartache, that he had to pretend that he didn't care about her, and caused her to misunderstand, and that she had chosen to forget everything, even their son.

He had noticed something amiss when he came to visit her after he'd dug out her eyes. He noticed that she no longer smiled, even when A-Li was born; she often told Nai Nai not to let him into the Hall Of Beautiful Youth. She cried often, Nai Nai had said. She had also requested many times to be alone.

Those had been signs that she couldn't take the life in the Celestial Palace anymore.

Why hadn't he seen what she felt earlier?

He had seen a change in her, yet he never did anything about it.

Immersed in his thoughts, Zhe Yan had to shake him to get his attention.

"What are you going to do about it, Crown Prince Ye Hua?" He asked, using Ye Hua's title to emphasise his point.

"I have to get to her side." Ye Hua murmured, as if in a trance.

"Certainly. I can take you there, but promise me one thing."

"What?" Ye Hua looked up.

"You must promise that you cannot hurt her again, if you ever make up with her. I saw her emotional state the moment she asked for the amnesia potion. It's shattered. She feels too much disappointment, too much sadness, to the extent that she doesn't even want to remember her son, much less the man who is the father of him."

Ye Hua's heart turned to lead. He had assumed that she wished to forget because Su Jin had practically forced Su Su's eyes out of her. He'd thought that with her gentle nature, she didn't want to remember the feud with Su Jin.

But it was because of him?

"I'm sorry," he cried out. "Su Su, I'm sorry."

Zhe Yan sighed.

"It's too late to say sorry now. You have to make it up to her. Bring A-Li to her. Tell her not to drink that amnesia potion. I assumed that it would be good for her to forget all that sadness and loneliness, but it's different now. You are the man she loves. She just didn't know that you had to pretend not to care about her to protect her life. That's why she still jumped down Zhuxian Terrace."

"Come now, Ye Hua. I'll take you to her."

"High God Zhe Yan, how can I repay you for this?"

"Keep my promise. That's all I ask. You belong with her, Ye Hua, and even I see that. I know how much you love her, and you owe her multiple explanations. We must not delay."
