tryna make this a longer chapter than the previous one LOL
_____
Feng Jiu landed in the Nine Heavens, and the guards, ordered to do so by the two women, instantly allowed her in.

She should have had her suspicions since that never happened, but she was too distressed about the news to notice.

She ran to Taichen Palace, yet before she could reach the quarters, she felt something strike her on her head.

And her world spun and spun and spun. Why were the two women in front of her falling? Why was the ground getting so close to her?

And then she realised.

She was the one falling.

Everything went black.

____________
When she woke up she was in an unfamiliar place. Her limbs were bound together by some sort of enchantment. Her magic was dulled.

Coming to her senses, she tried to figure out where she was.

Checklist:
1) It looked nothing like Qing Qiu.
2) It definitely didn't look like the Nine Heavens, which was strange since she recalled clearly landing there.

So where was she?

Someone pulled her hair roughly, and she looked up, wincing, to see Su Jin standing over her, smiling.

"You-"

It was a trap.

"Is Donghua Dijun really injured??" She asked.

"Who knows?" Su Jin shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not."

"You little-"

"Ah, ah, no need to be rude. That isn't very princess-like, hm?"

"Su Jin," a cold yet familiar female voice murmured.
Su Jin turned, and Feng Jiu tried to recognise the voice.

"Lady Le Xu." she said, her voice shaking.

Le Xu smiled a very cold and humourless smile at Feng Jiu, squatting down and tilting her head up with a cold and sharp grip. "Where shall we begin, my dear?"

____________
Ye Hua was in the Fox Den. Knew all about what Feng Jiu had heard, and what she'd decided to do.

"Donghua Dijun isn't injured at all." He snapped. "He went to the Donghuang Bell for a routine check, that's all."

"I think something's wrong." Bai Qian said from beside him. "Someone must have lured her there."

A cold feeling went down their spines. When they locked eyes, it dawned on them: Su Jin and Le Xu were behind this.

"But we have no idea where she is!" Bai Zhen was beside himself with panic. "How are we supposed to find her?"

"We can only wait for her to send us a clue." Bai Qian said. "Only she can tell us where she was taken."

________________
Feng Jiu was good at playing for time. She did exactly that, all while trying to figure out how to send a hint to her aunt.

"Where is this?" She asked. "If you are to kidnap a princess of Qing Qiu, she should at least know where she is." Leaves cracked as she shifted.

"A forest near the Mermaid Clan territory. There's no point in trying to run; this place has magic you don't. Just be a good fox and wait for us to let you go."

"Will you?"

"Oh, yes, after we get what we want."

"Which is..?" Feng Jiu asked, while trying to cut herself on the rope. She felt a bit of her magic regenerate. If she could draw some blood, she could enchant something small that contained her location with it. Her family could then track her.

"You dumb fox, you know exactly what we want."

"I do. And I don't think my aunt would give in like this." She dripped her blood on a leaf nearby, concentrated hard, and let the leaf vanish.

All she could do now was wait.

"You think not?" Le Xu smiled. "We beg to differ."
