Intro
Hey guys today I'm doing a video about Serenity. There is a lot of things people forget or don't know about her. When people see her they think she's all happy and smiles but past Serenity there is Ailish. Serenity likes to remind people that there is someone behind Serenity.

Childhood
Serenity was born in Michigan but when she was about 6 she moved to Ireland. She moved with her parents and brothers, her sister lived in California with her uncle for two years before moving to Ireland as well. Unkown to Serenity her parents would always fight each other. When Serenity was 10 her mother left abandoning her and her family. After her mother left Serenity became closed off with her emotions hiding behind a happy face and false smile. This is were a lot of her insecurities started. She had to be raised by her siblings because of her dad working long hours, she became introverted because of this. She had to grow up quickly and stop being a child

"The poor girl, she had to grow up so fast. I just want to go back in time and hug her like she's overcome so much"

Before becoming a trainee
Serenity a year before she signed with RMentertainment had a youtube channel were she filmed and documented her process of learning Korean, Japanese and Mandarian from Artemis' mom. Serenity and Artemis were best friends. One of these videos that was upload was of her vacation in Korea with Artemis' family. In the video she is filmed singing All I Wanted by Paramore and Into The New World by SNSD. This is what got her spotted by RMentertainment after three failed auditions for the Big3 where she was told that she would never be an idol or successful.

"She was looked down on from before she was even a trainee I wonder if people are kicking themselves now"

Trainee Period
Serenity's training period was split between Ireland and Korea. She was still in education in Ireland so she would travel back and forth when she was free or off from school. She trained for two years wondering if she will be successful. Throughout this training period she wouldn't tell anyone how she was feeling. She pushed herself so hard as trainee as she wanted everything to be perfect. She worked so hard to debut so much so she would get sick while also still going to school.

"Since Day 1 Serenity has always been so hard working, she truly doesn't know the meaning of rest."

Early Career
In Serenity's early people didn't think someone from a small company would become anything. Serenity struggled with her anxiety throughout her career, she had a panic attack just before her debut, luckily Leeteuk of Super Junior helped her. She kept having to prove herself that she was capable of being an idol. Everyone made jokes about her not wanting to be an idol when she would disappear for a good amount of time, she was leaving to go back to Ireland for school because that was one of the conditions for her being an idol

"This girl got so much hate that people joked about her not caring yet she was still going to school on top of being an idol. She is truly a role model"

Ups & Downs
Serenity had so many ups and downs. She was doing both solo and group work. While in the group she was heavily bullied because someone thought she was lazy and was jealous of her. Serenity hated being in the group and wanted to leave before the hiatus. She struggled so much but still gave it her all.

"She is so hard working that she put up with being bullied and struggling with her mental health as well as her weight"

Her Truths No Lies
Serenity once thought about giving up being an idol but Sirens and close friends cinvinced her not to, that she needed to continue being the light for others. When she came out that she is dating Jaehyun we got to see her at her happiest and most stable, it was like she had nothing really to hide anymore. She seems to be going up yet still has her down moments.
The Truths album is pretty much about who she is as a person and now she is being more honest.

"Serenity seems to be in a better place compared to 2018, she is living her best life"

Outro
Serenity really is such a role model. She shows that even if there is anything effecting you there is a light at the end guiding you. She is a queen who has never truly given up and ignores all of the hate thrown at her way. She deserves to be protected, she's an angel who has suffered.
