It hasn't been a while since Soobin had walked out of the room whilst Hueningkai had fallen asleep. Hueningkai is glad he's gone because Soobin was in a terrible condition. His dark circles were so conspicuous under his eyes and his face was pale. Now that he was gone, he finds it easier to recall the conversation they had just some moments ago and once he remembers how delicately his hands set loose in that of Soobins and how tenderly, he pulled it near his chest, loud thumping noises of his heart, Hueningkai wants to pass out on the spot again.
Promptly, his friends come in again and his parents aren't in the hospital anymore. He wonders why
"How you feeling?", Taehyun asks
"Im good. Can I go home now?", Hueningkai mumbles, wanting to sleep but his mind not letting him.
"Yeah, sure...we'll just ask the doctor for his consent", Taehyun says and followingly, exiting the room to the reception to confirm.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun sit there quietly, smiling at the younger who slowly smiles back at them.
"Thank you for being here", Hueningkai suddenly speaks
"You're so stupid for not telling us what was going on in your mind when you passed out. What happened?", Yeonjun says, raising his hands up as a matter of scolding the latter.
"N-noth-
"No.", Beomgyu interrupts
"There's something going on Hueningkai, and you know it. Tell us what it is"
Suddenly an uncomfortable silence settles in the room and Hueningkai isnt sure what to think of the way both males sitting across the room are anticipating for a response but Hueningkai finds it hard to get the right words out.
He wants to say it's because of the way he's trapped and doesn't know what to do with the way he feels about Soobin, because hes sure he likes him but he doesn't want to, not when he's petrified about his mother finding out. His father still doesn't have a job yet, rent increases every year and taxes are a must as well. He's not sure how long all this will last. Chohee doesn't pay next month and it's all up to his father to do something about it.
"We can take you home now", Taehyun barges in, hand hurriedly tugging on the doorknob as he scans the acquaintances present in the room.
Hueningkai doesn't have time to reply to Beomgyu and Yeonjun and he's contended that he doesn't have to, doesn't want to either. What's the most they could do to help him anyways?

Hueningkai reaches home and by the assistance of Taehyun and they're stopped midway track when they take notice of the way Hueningkais parents have a deep frown appearing on their faces as they shove multiple necessary items into a suitcase.
"W-whats going on?", Hueningkai asks, voice cracking upon seeing thre awkward situation.
"Oh. You're back.", his dad answers, a sad smile forming his face.
"We move out in a week", His mom says
Hueningkai is bewildered. What for, he thinks. He stands there, frozen on his spot and continues looking at his parent shoving things in the suitcase.
"Why"
His parents are silent, and they're remorseful about the decision but there isn't any other option. Until Hueningkai finally understands.
He tears his gaze to his father who's standing there with an unreadable expression. He tries coming close to Hueningkai but Hueningkai backs away.
"Dad....WHY"
"Son please just-"
"NO!", He fires back
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? YOU HAD TO FIND ONE JOB. ONE. AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT? What type of a parent are you?!?! Do you not get embarrassed when you ask others to lend you sufficient money.", Hueningkai's crying. He's hurt and devastated after acknowledging the current situation he has to face.
His dad is sulked and his head is lowered to the floor. Hueningkais mom is hearing everything and she wants to ignore the feelings of frustration that's building inside of her but she thinks staying quiet is the best option right now.
After Hueningkai stomps away into his room, Taehyun at the doorstep acts nonchalant to the situation. His mother smiles at Taehyun and invites him over to eat over together but he insists not to. It's late and he's pretty tired himself too. He leaves without bidding farewell to Hueningkai since the latter doesn't want to deal with human interaction at the moment. Worried and optimistic, he sighs and walks away.
The night doesn't go well for the boys; considering Soobin to be one of them too. He doesn't know what to think when the only thing that he thinks about ever is Hueningkai Hueningkai and Hueningkai. It's like his life orbits around the miserable boy and he knows it's an unhealthy thing to be completely head over heels in love with someone who can't reciprocate his feelings but knowing your feelings and doing something about it is something Soobin hadn't or hasn't been having in mind.
Now that he thinks about it; he thinks he's fucked up big time. He's in a relationship with a very unbeknown and oblivious boy who isn't aware of the tension and it's all Soobins fault. Soobin wishes he loved him because he deserves to be loved but not when someone like Kai Kamal Huening appears in his life, penetrating his mind and disintegrating his entire self.
He also recalls the reasons why Hueningkai might or (definitely) not like him. First, he thinks: Hueningkai's family doesn't support him with his sexuality, which of course doesn't change the way he feels but might stop him and Soobin from getting together. Second, He was responsible for setting Jeongin and Soobin up, if he had really liked him, he wouldn't have done that. Third, Hueningkai clearly had spoken the very day that he doesn't want Soobin around, protecting him and preventing him from getting hurt. It's hopeless, he thinks, but it's suddenly not too hopeless when he reiterates the incident that happened on "that" day. Everything about that day. He doesn't know if it was lust, playful emotions, a brother-brother thing but what he knows for sure is that the ethereal boy with his hair swaying in the wind and his melodious voice synchronizing with the keys on the piano had him caught so off guard. And the way the distance slowly closed between them made Soobin regret why he hadn't kissed the boy in front of him. Little had he known the latter would panic and never want to face him ever again.
Soobins spree of lingering thoughts disconnects and he stares at his ceiling, desperate for answers and details. He had risked something important earlier in the hospital. Pulling Hueningkais hands towards his chest and dropping off hints was awfully regrettable for Soobin after he hadn't gotten a response of the action from Hueningkai. Maybe the latter knows, maybe he doesn't. Soobin can't do anything except hope Hueningkai doesn't space out again.
He doesn't even know, more of sort, that a boy just a few blocks away also has the same thing running on his mind right now. If they'd both known, they'd call it destiny, but life is about not knowing, even if that means you'll never get to know.
