Hueningkai was really nervous. Yes, its just school but its not JUST school when the person you were just about to kiss will be there. Hueningkai thought for a while, maybe he should come up with an excuse to stay back from school but again, that wont stop him from seeing Soobin tomorrow, and after that..till the whole semester....
Keeping the prolonged thought in mind, Hueningkai exited the house, still bewildered at the fact that his dad was nowhere near of getting a job. Its not like he wasnt trying but getting a handsome amount per month was not very convenient since he was almost forty years old now.
Hueningkai walked to the bus-stop and today was Monday which meant that Soobin wouldnt show up today. Hueningkai pretty much had Soobins whole schedule memorized. It was usually Tuesdays and Thursdays that Soobin would arrive at the bus stop so most of the days just had to be his encounter with Soobin at schook only.
He was relieved to be honest. Confronting him would be so awkward and he was totally not up for the decision that he wants to talk to Soobin. But he wasnt relieved at the fact that his and Soobins friendship would now be aggravated and restricted due to his mothers strict and stern policies he ought to follow. Either ways, talking to Soobin wasnt something he was opting for in the first place.
*Time Skip*
"Hueningkai-", Taehyun said as he approached the boy who furiously shoved the books in his locker
"Yeah?", Hueningkai turned around to see not only Taehyun but Yeonjun, Beomgyu and....Soobin.
He immediately looked down as he made sudden eye contact with the taller male.
"Huh? Is everything alright?", Beomgyu asked as he placed a hand on Hueningkais shoulder, tapping it so he can get an un-belated response.
"N-nothing...", Hueningkai faked a smile, not wanting to meet gazes with a slightly confused male who observed him from the back.
"Speaking of which, you have been ignoring us since morning, whats up?", Taehyun asked as he eyed the latter who looked everywhere except the people in front of him.
Hueningkai wasnt actually intending to ignore them but since he knew Soobin was frequently tagging along, he had to keep his distance which ended up in him unintentionally ignoring his friends.
"No reason..", Hueningkai murmured
"Hueningkai", A males soft voice caught his attention and as much as he didnt wanna look at his direction, he did, regretting his decision in not less than 10 seconds because of how the latter looked at him with profound concern and sympathy.
But fuck him because Hueningkai didnt wanna talk to him all day, not after your 'over-protective' mother has observed an idiosyncratic behaviour in Soobin...
All Hueningkai wanted at that moment was space and time to breathe, time to be alone and in solitude, not wanting even a matters presence near him..
"Yeah?", Hueningkai exclaimed, voice almost cracking
"Are you alright?", Soobin questioned tilting his head a little to the side, not failing to notice the embarassed condition of him.
How is he so chill and untethered?, Hueningkai thought
Does he not remember what happened yesterday? What we almost did?
"Yeah i-im fine, really....i-im gonna go now", Hueningkai barely managed to get his words out as he quickly walked past the bewildered group of boys who could only shrug at the sudden change at the male.
