"Huening kai, you're back", his mother approaches, straddling the latters head. She doesn't wait for him to respond and instead, urges him to drag all his things from his bedroom.

"I want you to bring the hand carry that's in your bedroom. Hurry"

"Mom-"

"Hueningkai, go get it. We don't have time"

The boy walks upstairs in utter confusion. As per his moms saying, the mention of a hand carry makes him come up with many theories. Like Shifting? moving out? Forcefully
......moving out.

His eyes widen. Rage builds up at the possible thought of doing something that had initially been their mistake.
He stumbles back from the stairs and confronts his dad.

"Dad. Where are we going?", Hueningkai says with the severity of his rage and the tensed atmosphere.

"Kai....you know about what's been going on. The rent is way out of my financial league here", his father speaks slowly.

Hueningkai doesn't understand. It's been months. Months of failure at finding a suitable job. It doesn't and shouldn't take so long. Aside from the second hand embarrassment Hueningkai was prone to facing when his aunt would lend money to them, he was disrupted at how his father was least concerned, serious or responsible about taking care of his family. Even the little chance of his father coming home with good news was starting to die down, in the void, and out of expectations. It scared Hueningkai, to be fair, if his family will ever get to eat well anymore, live and prosper willingly. He blames it on his father.

"Y-you can't. It's YOU. It's all you. We all have been suffering because of your carelessness. You're always--"

"Kai", his mother interrupts but he chooses to ignore

"Drinking! All the time. You're so....", tears prickle in the said boys eyes unwillingly and the lump in his throat stays there, ears turning red and an evident burn in the back of his throat which makes his voice crack.

His dad chooses to act nonchalant. His tight grip lands on a briefcase as he quickly drags it out by the handle towards the front door. His mother stands up. She walks towards Hueningkai and holds on to his shoulder, pushing him back and making him startled.

"Who gives you the right to insult at your fathers hard work?", his mother speaks. Hueningkai stumbles back as a result of the fierce and sudden push his mother offered.

He envelopes his unshed tears back in his eyes and swallows the lump that kept him from talking further.

"You're siding with him....", he speaks. He hesitates before speaking again

"You haven't tried either. A lending hand is always available, but you never offered to help. You're.....so selfish, and..unsupportive", he begins, words coming out stronger by each sentence.

His mothers eyes widen and her eyebrows furrow outrageously. Words of this sort coming out of her son's mouth makes her tempted to lay a hand on him, to imply dominance and respect to the rightful individual, but she's not too quick at making her mind up because of Hueningkai continuing.

"See for yourself. You've done nothing, except eating in all the money you were given by someone you never appreciated. D-dont you feel...embarrassed?", Hueningkai asks, concerning tone lacing with the anger building up inside of him.

"Hueningkai.....that's it. Stay quiet now.", his mother clenches her teeth and anger showcasing her change in tone. Hueninkais father who is slowly bringing all the suitcases to the front door listens but stays silent.

"No. I've had enough. Either you leave me alone so I don't have to suffer with you or you quit being beggars and find a real job", Before he can meet his mothers eyes after releasing the last statement, his mother reaches her hand out to slap across his face as a result of ignoring her warning. Hueningkai is quick to leave everything behind and step out of the scene, pace fastening as he grabs his own briefcase with his necessities and makes his way to walk out of the house.

"HUENINGKAI! You get back here this instant!!", the woman screams. Her ultimatum is yet again ignored as he quickens his pace even more, the loud steps of his shoes creaking the wooden tiles beneath. He's close to walking out of the door when his fathers hand stops up at his sternum. His face is blank, and Hueningkai hates how he's trapped between the figure he loathes to see the face of now.

"Get back in", the sudden fierce in command makes Hueningkais spine slightly shiver but at this point, he finds himself least concerned about anything except walking out of this door and freeing himself from the captivity.

"I'm not listening to parents who never understood and supported their own child. And who don't care about his well being", Hueningkai says, loud enough for his mother at the back to hear.

"Oh, support as in yourself being gay? What? Do you expect me to support you of being gay? Of being a fucking disgrace? Huh? No Hueningkai, no! I never brought my boy up just to grow up and like his fellow gender mates! There's no way I'd let you see a guy while I'm still there. No way. And if you are, if you fucking are seeing a guy right now, then I hope you rot! Rot in hell, you disgrace!", The insurmountable shrieking of his mother makes Hueningkai internally wince. He hates it here, everything. His fist clenches till his knuckles turn white and his tears are threatening to fall. So weak, he thinks but doesn't avoid it anyway.

His dad nods in agreement at his mothers statement which triggers Hueningkais buttons even more. He nudges Hueningkais shoulders and pushes him backwards enough so he enters back into the house.

"Stop it!!! Leave me ALONE!!", Hueningkai let's his tears fall, he tears himself out of his fathers grasp and pushes him out of the way. Absentmindedly, he grabs his suitcase so tight and runs out of the house, foot slipping on the stairs, leaving his heel to sore through the pain. He cares less though, he shuts the door behind him and walks fast, fast enough for him to possibly slip and fall down now but he fears his parents catching up and pushing him right back inside, so he prefers the latter way. Behind him, he can hear the turn of the door knob and the loud voices of his parents ordering him to return. His father even tries to catch up with him but Hueningkai pays no mind and fastens his pace further. Simultaneously, he uses his free hand to wipe his tears that are falling off, mind circulating his mothers words and the death threat she let out. For the moment, he thinks he's did the right thing but sooner finds trouble searching for a place to stay.

He knows his father has given up, when he no longer hears his father screaming behind him, telling him to return back home in a stern, commanding tone. He probably thinks Hueningkai would return soon, incapable of handling himself.

Hueningkai wants to prove him wrong.

--

A couple minutes of wandering around and definite of no one following him, he takes his phone out and dials a couple of numerical. The line almost immediately connects and a soft voice, clear of assistance can be heard in the background.

"Kai?"

Hueningkai takes a deep breath before he starts.

"Soobin, can I come over?"
