we both know how this ends
with red seeping out from our cold-lifeless bodieswe both know we are setting up ourselves for the worst kind of fate
where there are only two alternatives;
dying of thirst or drowning in bloodwe both know that this love isn't going to be celebrated
it'd be ridiculed, disapproved, butchered, torn to pieces until there's nothing left of it
we both know that we're only meant to coexist in the space we share
not to rebel against the world by creating a home out of itwe both know that we are setting ourselves on fire; not caring if the planet itself turns to ashes
we both know how this ends
but you're kissing me anyway
and i am letting you anyway
and we are tasting the forbidden fruit anyway
we both know how this ends
but we are clinging to hope anywayit's foolish to love but we are loving anyway
