Nick walks out of his room going to the kitchen. It had been three days since Jodie ended things with him and he was feeling a lot better. You and him had spent a lot of time together and it helped him a lot. He looked at the octopus hanging from his lanyard which also held his keys. He decided he always wanted it on him. He sees that Alex was already in the kitchen, sitting on the counter eating some fruit.

"Hey, what are you doing up so early?"

Alex looks at Nick and hops down from the counter.

"Oh, I guess I couldn't sleep so I just decided to stay up and got hungry"

Nick walks over and grabs some of the fruit from Alex's bowl. Alex rubs his eyes and heads towards the couch and clicks on the tv. Nick follows him and sits next to him on the couch.

"Alex, can I talk to you about something?"

Alex looks over to Nick, slightly confused by his change in tone.

"Ya sure, what's up?"

Nick takes a deep breath, nervous to talk about this.

"So I um, I know Jodie and I only broke up a few days ago but I..."

Nick trails off, looking down at the octopus hanging off of his belt. Alex lets him take his time, not quite sure what direction this was going.

"Alex, I think I'm falling for y/n... And I feel like shit for it. Shouldn't I be sad about Jodie? But I can't help it, they're all I think about Alex."

Alex pauses, honestly not surprised by the information, but he still had to process it. He didn't want to just blurt out that you were basically in love with Nick. He wanted to let things happen naturally, it would honestly be weird if he tried to make it happen faster. He can't help but laugh.

"Why are you laughing at me? I was being vulnerable"

Alex looks at Nick and slowly stops laughing.

"I'm laughing because you think I didn't already know. I see the way you look at y/n and the octopus, it's kinda obvious."

Nick laughs lightly realizing how obvious he had been. He's glad that Alex isn't freaking out or saying anything about the fact that he just ended things with Jodie.

"But Nick, don't feel bad for having these feelings, you can't help it."

"Ya, I guess there's a part of me that's worried that these feelings are only here because my brain wants to rebound from Jodie."

"I know you don't want to hurt them, but if you feel really strong about your feelings, there's no way they're fake. You guys basically flirt everytime you talk."

Alex notices a slight blush brush across Nick's cheeks. He just hopped Nick wouldn't mess things up with you like he did with basically everyone else.

"I think I'm going to tell them. There's no point in wasting time, we're only here for two more weeks. Is there any way you can find a reason to be busy with Karl and George tomorrow night?"

You grab your phone and message Clay. You needed some advice on what to do about Nick. You feel like you have to tell him about your feelings eventually. You call Clay and he picks up quickly.

"What's up?"

You take a deep breath.

"I think I need to tell Nick, we spend like every second of everyday together and it feels wrong not to tell him."

Clay doesn't answer right away, making sure you're finished what you're saying.

"Well I think it's up to you honestly. But don't forget to consider him and Jodie just broke up."
