No getting out of it this time. That one thought raged through my head. I had been so lucky, survived so much. Was this really how I was going to go?
I wept. Not like normal crying, but full on ugly bawling. I didn't even get to save my mother. I didn't even know what happened to her.
I also didn't know what happened to my friends. Were they even alright. I only remember knocking them out. I did that. I hurt my friends in a fit of rage.
What kind of monster was I? You know what, maybe it's best I did die. I was going to leave anyway. This was just more permanent. I deserved it.
Then I heard a noise. Singing. A guitar too. Someone was singing in this room. Who?
I looked over to see Amia playing the guitar and singing, leaning against the wall. She looked so peaceful.
I recognized the song as "Struggling Man". My mom used to sing it to me when I was younger. It was the only thing that would calm me down. It worked and I started breathing slowly.
Then I noticed two people sitting on the ground in front of her. They were nodding along and smiling. Cynthia and Brianna. What the hell? God damn hallucinations
"Would you shut up already." Someone said from beside me. I looked over and saw Oliver. He noticed me jump and rolled his eyes. "Hello, cupcake. Nice to meet you again. Don't worry, I can't hurt you. I'm dead." He laughed. "But you'll get what's coming to you soon enough."
"Shut up, prick." Another guy? I gasped. Alfred. We're these hallucinations ment to ease me into death? "Hey, Marki. What's up? Looks like your in quite a pickle." I subtly nodded.
He smiled.
"It's okay, Marki. Really." Cynthia said.
"Yeah, it's time. You've spent your time here. It's your time to go." Brianna said.
"It's all good. Just look for the light." Amia instructed.
"Wait a minute," Dad! "Marki, you remember what I always told you?" I shook my head. "You have to pay your keep! Pay your keep! Stay alive and suffer!" He yelled at me. His voice was amplified in my ears, so I covered them with my hands.
Alfred put his hand on my shoulder and laughed. "It's okay. If you wanna go, just go. It's peaceful."
All the good hallucinations nodded in agreement. I smiled weakly. It was my time.
Coming from the lightbulb hanging from the ceiling, was a bright light. I guess that was the light I was supposed to be looking for. It almost blinded me.
"Will I ever see you guys again?" I asked.
"Sure. In do time." Amia replied.
"See you guys later."
I looked up at the light again and let it absorb me. I could feel my soul leaving my body. Going to a better place. My soul was surrounded my a lovely death essence.
I hope that spot in Elysium is still open.
A/n: And that's the end of our show, folks! Hope you enjoyed! See you one more time in the epilogue! Hopefully that will wrap up some stuff, but if not, feel free to ask questions.
