We walked away and of course they asked me questions about what happened. I told them everything from when the dogs took me down to when Gil came to the door. They also told me what they did since they found out I was missing.
"Well thanks guys. Most people I knew wouldn't have been that persistent on finding me." I said. Most of the people I knew when I was little thought I was just really wierd and didn't care for me at all.
"No prob. And sorry by the way. If we hadn't convinced you to skip with us, this never would have happened." Brianna said.
"Don't worry about it. I was the one who said yes and nothing too bad happened, so it's fine." While saying this I thought about my leg. Well that did happen, but it was better than death, I'm positive.
"Alright then. I guess we should let you know there is a price on your head. You won't be able to attend your classes." Cynthia said. Really? They were offering a prize for me? That's just low.
"How much?"
"£500 I believe, but..." Cynthia started
"Bullshit. I'm worth more than that." I joked. They laughed along for a few seconds before Amia continued.
"But seriously. You'll have to stay in my dorm. No doubt they will search through your old one." Hmm. Rooming with Amia huh? Sounded interesting to say the least.
"Okay. What happens then?" I asked.
"I don't know, but let's focus on right now. The only thing harder than breaking out of the Uni is breaking back in." Amia replies.
We ran (or again limped in my case) to the back of the large building without being spoted. There was a small black door that had a window, so I could see it opened to the kitchen.
No one appeared to be in it, so we took the risk of opening it and going in one by one.
Amia first, me second, Cynthia third, and Brianna fourth. So far no people, but we were still only at the beggining. We made our way around coblestone counters with dirty pots, pans, dishes, and silverware on them. Even though the lights were off, it wasn't too hard to see.
We did make it to the door on the other side of the room though. We peeked through the window on that door to see if there was anyone in the hall. Again, no one.
We filed out of the dark kitchen to be greeted by a tall, muscular man with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"What were you ladies doing in the kitchen?" He asked suspiciously with a German sounding accent. I tried hiding my face as much as I could yo avoid being caught.
"We were just looking for my phone. It slid under the door. Heh, sorry for the disruption." Cynthia said. Hmm, smart lie.
"Why did you all need to go in there?" He asked.
"I um, also my glasses slid under the door. I'm afraid I'm nearly blind without them, so they were just helping. I understand that it was unnecessary for all of us to be in there. We sincerely apologize, sir." Cynthia lied. Wow, she was a good lier, but why so formal?
"I suppose I can look over it just this once, but I don't want any of you in the kitchen ever again. Get a teacher or something." He scolded.
"Yes sir. Thank you, sir." Cynthia said. Then he walked down the hall. "Rule number one: whenever you get caught doing something on campus, make a great lie and be the biggest suck up in the world." Cynthia explained. Amia and Brianna nodded as I guessed they already knew this.
"Come on, we should get going before we run into another teacher." Brianna said as we began walk on the right side of the hall to the dorms.
We drop Cynthia and Brianna off at the old dorm and they give me my suitcase I never unpacked.
"Good luck!" Brianna chirps as I'm about to walk away.
"Thanks!" I shout back.
Me and Amia walked to her dorm. It was a fairly big room, just a little bigger than my old one. There were two beds with red sheets and two closets. The floor was wooden with two white rugs coming out from under the beds and the walls were beige. There were no windows, which made me feel a little claustrophobic, but with time I could adapt.
"You have this all your self?" I ask partly in shock.
"Had. You get half now And yeah, they said that rooming someone with a succubus could amount in some unwanted 'sexy times'." She used her fingers to make quotation marks. "They think I have no self-control. I find it beingist."
"Beingist?" I ask. I never heard that term before.
"Well it's a term I made up for discriminating against groups of species. Kind of like saying vampires are all blood thirsty killers. Its not even true, I know lots vampires who live on coconuts alone. It's beingist." She explained.
"Okay, well I learned something new today." I said as I sat down on the bed I presumed was mine because it was the only one still perfectly made. I made a slight hiss noise when sitting because well, my leg had started to hurt again.
"Hey, you alright?" Amia asked, looking concerned.
"Yeah, it's just my foot." I reply.
"Snap! We should probably change the bandage before it gets infected." She got up and went to the bathroom. When she came back out, she had a bandage. Wow, she really was caring!
"Mind if I...?" She looked at my leg.
"Yeah, go ahead." I replied.
She took off the brace and the bandage underneath it. I had to say, it looked like a horror scene. On the bandage was most of the dirt and blood, but the wound still wasn't fully cleaned. She cleaned the flesh wound again and it friggin stung!
Then she put the new bandage on and put the brace back on. She gave it a satisfactory look and nodded.
"Thanks. Your pretty good at this." I complimented.
"Thanks well..." She looked at the wall. Then I knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" I asked. She just turned her head away more. "Amia, why are you good at this?" I demanded giving her a stern look.
She finally gave in. "A little while back, I was wondering around campus..." She began.
A/n: So yay Marki is reunited with her friends! Also, I got the idea of vampires eating coconuts off tumblr where I saw coconut milk can be a substitute in blood transfusions ( I have done my reading and yes I know that vampires CAN'T live on coconuts as it cannot replace blood/plasma, but is only used in a pinch in emergency blood transfusions, yet I still thought it would be neat concept to mention ^_^). Have a good day all of you and remember, don't be beingist.
