Amia's POV
We reached the abandoned building in less than 10 minutes. It stood, just as withered and scary as it was when I first got dragged there. I bet I still remember every nook and cranny of this place.
Of course we couldn't just walk in the front door, so lead the three of us to the side entrance I knew of.
I heard barking at the front of the building and saw dogs running in the street.
"Find her no matter what!" A woman yelled at them. Shit.
Luckily the door was unlocked, so we ran inside. That's when we saw the chaos.
There was an alarm going off and red emergency lights flashing through the halls. Shit. . . Again. Workers scrambled around, all seeming to be looking for something. Or someone. Panic waves over me as I think more about what could've happened.
"Whatever happens, don't split up." I tell Cynthia and Brianna as i start going up the stairs. I see someone banging on a door down the hall.
"OPEN THE DOOR OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO KNOCK IT DOWN." I heard a man yell, continuing to bang on the door.
Without getting a reply, he kicked the door down and burst in. Seconds later, he ran back out and down the opposite end of the hall.
We took this as our queue to go inspect the room. Once we got inside, we saw that the room was empty, but the window was open.
Marki couldn't have jumped out of the window, could she? I ran over to the square shaped window and peered outside. I didn't see anyone, but there was a matteress, splattered with blood at the bottom.
Obviously more than one person used this to escape and someone probably already picked up Marki. Cynthia and Brianna looked out the window as well.
"Where do you think they went?" Brianna asked.
"I don't know. We don't even know if that was made by Marki." I reply. Then we heard someone run down the hall towards the room. I noticed a large desk.
"Quick, everyone under the desk." I told them. We crawled under the desk and hoped for the best.
Two people ran in and looked around. Luckily they didn't look under the desk, but they began to have a conversation.
"All clear. Where could they have gone?" One woman asked the guy.
"I don't know. Damn. Put up missing posters. Marki Delior and Alfred Jones prize: $500." The man said.
"Okay, they will be out immediately."
"They better be." Then they both walked out.
So that means Marki did escape. With Alfred Jones? Who was that?
We all came out from under the desk and formed in the middle of the room.
"Great. Now we need to start from the very beginning. We need to know exactly who took her. We need to look everywhere." I said.
"Agreed. Where do we start?" Cynthia asked.
"Umm, I'll go to the Frozen Yogurt shop. You guys cheeck around town."
"Got it! Come on Cynthia." Brianna said as she grabbed Cynthia by her arm and pulled her out of the room and down the hall. I walked out of the building myself and strolled down the street back to the shop.
Marki's POV
I landed on the matress with a loud thud. Crap, I heard something crack. My foot. I friggin broke my foot. Great. As I was trying to gain control of my thoughts, I felt someone tug on my arm. Then another on my other arm.
"Sorry Miss, were with Alfred. Come on." The one on the right said. He had blonde hair like Alfred's, but lighter and violet eyes with goggles on his forehead. He had a wierd long curl springing out from his hair and he wore a beige winter jacket. He sounded American, but the way he said sorry indicated that he was Probably Canadian.
"Marki Delior, right? Sorry for the inconvenience and Alfred, just Alfred. He really wanted to be the hero." The man on my left said. He was blonde, a little lighter than Alfred, but darker than the man on my right. He had little strands of hair flying everywhere from the wind that often swept infront of his emerald green eyes. He wore a green suit and sounded English, like he was from here.
I let the two help me up before almost falling again because of my foot. It hurt profoundly as I could see it started to bleed.
"Hury, we need to get her medical attention." I could hear Alfred say as he ran up behind us. "Quick, everyone in the car."
We all piled into the car as the Brit helped me get in. Alfred took his place in the drivers seat with the Canadian sounding man in shotgun and the Englishman in the back next to me.
As he started driving, he started talking.
"Right Marki, this here is my little bro, Matthew, but you can just call him Mattie or Matt. He's from Canada and he's super nice." He said pointing to the man in shotgun. "And sitting next to you, is Arthur. Yeah, he's from here, but he's a little stubborn."
"I am not, you git!" Arthur retaliated.
"Yeah you are. Your being stubborn right now!"
"You don't even know the meaning of that word, stupid American."
"Why you-"
"Guys stop! She's sitting right there and your probably making her uncomfortable." Matthew said gesturing to me.
"Your right. I'm sorry Marki." Alfred apologized.
"I'm sorry as- Wait I'm supposed to be the mature one!" He yelled at Alfred. Alfred laughed, Matthew sighed and gave up, and Arthur continued bickering.
That's how the whole ride went.
