Eventually Alfred pulled over in front of a fairly large appartment building and we all got out. Arthur helped me stand upright and I had to lean on him which was a little awkward.
"Wait. I thought I needed medical attention. Shouldn't we be going to a hospital?" I asked.
"We can't afored to risk that. They're looking for you, so they'll probably check there as well as many other places, but they won't check my flat. We'll just have to make the best with what we have. Sorry." Arthur said.
"Come on guys." Alfred was already halfway to the building. I gave him an ok and let Arthur help me to the door. Matthew was already waiting by the door with Alfred when we got there.
Arthur pulled out his keys and unlocked the door. We all walked in, or stumbled in my case.
"Matthew, help her to the couch, will you please?" Arthur asked.
"Yeah, sure." I switched from leaning on Arthur to leaning on Matthew. Randomly I noticed he smelled like maple syrup. He walked me to the couch in the living room and let me sit down while Arthur headed to the bathroom. Probably to get the supplies.
Then the doorbell rang and Alfred shouted, "I got it!" I couldn't hear any of the conversation, so I didn't know what was going on. After a few minutes the door closed again and Alfred made his way to the living room. "Ah no one. Just one of those guys that goes around asking 'do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ?'." Then he sat down in a chair across the room.
"You should lie down." Matthew suggested to me. I shook my head in agreement and lied down. I rested my head on a Union Jack pillow and lifted my legs onto the other end of the couch.
"Shoes off the couch please." Arthur said as he walked in. I was about to sit up when Alfred walked over and held out his hand in a stop sign.
"I got it." He told me. He knelt down by my feet and started to slide off my sneakers. I flinched and hissed a little when he took off my right shoe as it sent a searing pain through my foot.
"Sorry." He chuckled a little before putting my shoes down next to the couch.
"Its fine." I told him.
"Ok Marki, I'm going to need you to stay perfectly still, ok?" Arthur said. I nodded and looked at what he was doing. He took off my socks and unrolled the bandage.
First, he cleaned the blood off, then got out clear ointment and put it on the gash that was there. He wrapped the long brown bandage around my foot and looked at me with a tada look.
I noticed I was squeezing something, so I looked down to see my hand clasped with Alfred's. He pulled his hand away immediately when he saw.
"Heh. Sorry, just thought you might need something to hold on to if it hurt." Alfred explained.
"Its alright. It did help a little." I replied. He flashed me a smile. It was kinda adorable. One of those goofy side smiles.
"Alfred, could you help me look for the foot brace?" Arthur asked.
"Uh yeah sure, bro." Alfred replied. They both got up and went into another room, leaving me and Matthew in awkward silence.
After a few moments, we heard a crash and then yelling.
"Alfred F. Jones, I told you not to touch that!" Arthur yelled.
"You can't blame me. It was like a big red button! How do I not touch it?"
"You have a bit of decency!"
Matthew looked to me.
"Watch this." He whispered.
"Guys, stop having sex while we have a guest!" He yelled into the hall. I started having a giggling fit.
"We're not having sex!" They both yelled back in unison.
"Then it won't be a problem to hurry up and dear God, shut up!"
At this point I was in an uncontrollable rage of full on laughter. That was until Arthur and Alfred walked into the room. They both had huge blushes on their faces as they kept their faces down.
Arthur came in with the brace and put it on my foot.
"That will have to do for now. How is it?" He asked.
"Pretty good, actually." I smiled at him.
"Fantastic. I'll go make us dinner." He got up and walked to the kitchen.
"You know, he can't cook for crap. I better help him before he burns the house down." Alfred said before getting up and following Arthur to the kitchen. I decided to make some conversation with Matthew.
"Can I ask you something? How do you put up with them?" I ask.
"I just tune it out most of the time. Alfred is my brother and I promised our mom that I would look after him, so I kinda gotta put up with him. It's not too bad once you get used to it though." Matthew said.
"How long?" My eyes were now drifting around the room to find pictures of different British bands on the walls and a desk on the other side with a big book on it.
"About 15 years will do the trick." We both laughed a little.
Alfred and Arthur walked in with the dinner a few minutes later. Some ham with baked beans and mashed potatoes.
"I would have prepared a fine British cuisine, but Alfred insisted on this." Arthur said as he handed me my plate and a plastic cup with Coca-Cola.
"Dude, she's American. I thought we should make her feel a little more at home." Alfred said.
"Whatever. Hope you enjoy." Arthur smiled. I smiled back.
"I actually do love this. And I really appreciate it." I said.
"Your very welcome." Arthur said.
We all dug in. The rest of the night was a blur, but I do remember we talked a little more and I dosed off as we watched The Hunger Games on T.V.
A/n: Hey, hey, its update day! So anyway, supernatural just came back yesterday (maple-chan and Cynthia already know this because I won't shut up about it.) And I must say this new season looks rather interesting.
So enough about that. More updates to come and a possible Halloween chapter! Enjoy life my lovelies!
