After Tsukishima held Yamaguchi in his arms for a little while more, the smaller boy ended up falling asleep while being embraced.
Now, Yamaguchi wasn't that heavy so Tsukki just put Yams on his back, and brought him to his bed. Tsukishima placed Yamaguchi down onto his bed, while the freckled boy still slept, unbothered by the constant moving. Tsukishima watched as his best friend's chest rose up, than lowered down at the speed of his breathing.
Tsukki's never saw Yamaguchi in that state before. Terrified. Shaking. Almost pale as a ghost. He felt tempted to ask Yams what the dream was about but, he didn't want to push the poor boy over the edge. Especially if the person asking was the one his dream revolved around.
Before everyone left the beach the other afternoon, Sugawara told the team that they could sleep in because they were out pretty long. Suga and Daichi had nothing planned for the day so most of the boys just decided to sleep in.
And with that, Tsukishima ended up drifting off the sleep in his own bed while he faced Yamaguchi, making sure the fragile, freckled boy was still sleeping.

12:37 p.m., the next morning (or afternoon technically).
Yamaguchi woke up, his eyes still burning a bit from the crying he did last night, his head also aching. It was pretty bright out so, he figured he must've slept in past morning.
He looked over to his left, looking for the familiar blonde who held him in his arms last night. And there Tsukki was, sitting upright on his bed, just reading a manga he brought along with him. Yamaguchi still kept staring, remembering the warmth and embrace of Tsukishima.
"Finally you're up." Tsukki called out, not looking up from the manga he was reading. Yamaguchi let out a big yawn.
"Sorry, I was tired." Yamaguchi replied, still laying down onto his comfortable bed. He rolled around, facing Tsukishima's bed, pulling the covers slightly over him.
"Wanna tell me what last night was about?" Tsukishima asked a surprised Yamaguchi, who was still staring. Tsukishima actually put his manga down, turning to face a pastel, red Yamaguchi.
"Oh right..." Yamaguchi trailed off, remembering the nightmare he had last night. It still terrified him a bit but not as much right now, since it is day time. "It was just a nightmare, nothing to worry about." Yamaguchi gave Tsukishima a weak smile, not convincing Tsukki or himself for that matter.
"You mentioned it was about me." Tsukishima bluntly said, making Yamaguchi regret his blubbering mouth from last night. "So, tell me." Tsukki told Yamaguchi in a sort of 'demanding' tone.
"You said you'd never love me." Yamaguchi muttered into his blanket, preventing Tsukishima from hearing whatever he was saying.
"Can't hear you." Tsukishima was slightly getting a bit annoyed, now sitting straight up on the edge of his bed.
"I said, you said you'd never love me." Yamaguchi mumbled once again into his blanket, pissing Tsukishima off even more. Yamaguchi ended up turning the other way, his back facing the blonde, scowling boy.
"God, stop mumbling!" Tsukishima angrily exclaimed, pulling the covers off Yamaguchi who was curled up in a ball.
"Give it back! It's cold!" Yamaguchi exclaimed back, trying to tug the covers back onto him. Of course, it wasn't actually cold seeing as it was summertime but, Yamaguchi wanted to continue hiding under the covers.
"It's like 90 degrees out." Tsukishima scoffed, throwing Yams' covers onto his own bed. "What? Was it some kind of embarrassing nightmare?" Tsukki taunted Yamaguchi, that just made Yams even angrier.
"YOU SAID YOU'D NEVER LOVE ME!" Yamaguchi shouted towards Tsukishima out of frustration. 'Crap! Why the hell did I just say that ?' Yamaguchi thought to himself, instantly regretting ever opening his mouth.
Knock! Knock!
Someone was at the door, probably concerned on why Yamaguchi was shouting inside the room.
Tsukishima stood up to get the door as the person there continuously started to knock. When he opened it, he saw a grouchy Tanaka who looked like he was still sleeping.
"What's with the shouting?!" Tanaka exclaimed, letting out a big yawn.
"Sorry, Yamaguchi is just complaining on how a girl will never love him." Tsukishima snickered, covering up for the fact Yamaguchi wasn't talking about any girl.
"Oh. I know exactly how he feels!" Tanaka whined, assuming that was about Kiyoko and him. "Just try to keep it down, yeah?" Tanaka yawned once again, slumping back to his room next door.
"Did you not just hear what I said?! There was no GIRL involved." Yamaguchi spat towards Tsukishima, still facing his back towards Tsukki.
"Why'd you look like the world was ending just because I told you I wouldn't love you in your dream?" Tsukishima scoffed, making Yamaguchi glow a bright red.
'Why did it feel like that was the end of the world, hearing that Tsukki would never love me?' Yamaguchi thought to himself, embarrassed because he knew Tsukishima was looming over him, waiting for an answer.
"It's not like you actually love me in real life. At least, not like that." Tsukishima snickered, making Yamaguchi's heart unknowingly drop a little. "So what's the big deal? It was just a dream."
Tsukishima didn't know how real it felt to Yamaguchi. The feeling of his own best friend, taunting, and teasing him to no end. Maybe it felt like the end of the world because...maybe Yamaguchi WAS in love with his best friend?
'No, no, that's ridiculous.' Yamaguchi thought to himself.
'Right? Ridiculous.'
'Right...?'
"Unlessssss, there's something you're not telling me." Tsukishima smirked, teasing and looking over Yamaguchi's shoulder like he could read Yams' mind.
"Nope, told you everything." Yamaguchi suppressed the feelings he felt at that time, trying his best to not stutter because that'd make it look like he was lying to Tsukishima. Luckily for him, he said the sentence in a bold tone.
"Mmkay well, Sugawara said we're having dinner together so, we have to meet them at the restaurant across the street in about an hour." Tsukishima added, not pushing Yamaguchi any further. Maybe it was because he didn't care or maybe he just didn't want to push the freckled boy any further.
"Okay." Yamaguchi quietly murmured, waiting for Tsukishima to walk away. As he heard the footsteps of Tsukishima retreating, Yamaguchi ended up letting out a deep sigh.
So much happened in one night, so many feelings, weaknesses. Feelings and weaknesses that Yamaguchi didn't know he had.
'Maybe I should tell him?' Yamaguchi thought to himself, debating whether he should confess to Tsukki or not. But, he didn't want to ruin the friendship they had between them. Plus, he didn't even know if the feelings he had for Tsukishima was real or just a sexuality crisis.
Once Yamaguchi heard the bathroom lock click back open, Yams got up to get ready for the dinner the team was having all together.
But, it's not the food he had on his mind...it was his confused feelings about Tsukishima.
