Chapter 18

Almost a year later:
Maven, and Mareena have been a couple for almost a year now. They had a few cute little names for each other like Mare & Mav, cal likes to call them M&M, Marven was another name, or  Maveena.

They reached a few milestones with the past year, Maven finally got to celebrate his birthday with his dream girl by his side, he finally would be out on the dance floor dancing with someone he cared about other than a few of the girls from the high houses, that just wanted some fame because they got to dance with one of the crown princes.

He found it funny anytime another one of the girls from the high houses tried to dance with maven, or cut in between him and mare. She would hip check them out of the way or they'd run away with lighting dancing across their feet.
"Mare don't worry about them I only have eyes for you the other girls mean nothing." He would say taking her back in his arms to dance to another song.
"Oh trust me Mav, I know you'll only care about me or else any girl that looks at you when their not meant to will face my lighting." She said wrapping her arm around him tighter.
"Have I ever told you how much hotter you are to me when you get all protective." Maven said kissing her forehead.
"Only a few times!" Mare said laughing.

Mareena reached some of her own milestones too with Maven, cal, and some of her family had a small dinner at her house. Then Maven through her a sweet sixteen surprise party. That day she was happy her old best friend was there and maven, and Mareena spent the night together dancing away, laughing,  and making more memories together.
"Come on Mav, you can't sit down again...we've barely danced." Mare said smiling down at her tired boyfriend who had to take a seat after he couldn't feel his feet anymore.
"Marrrrre please let me rest for a bit...we've been dancing to nearly every other song."
"Ok I'll go dance and you sit here and catch your breath!" She said kissing his cheek and heading back to the dance floor with Evangeline, Elaine, cal, and Lucas.

"Wow mavy you should really go dance with Mare, before Rhombos gets any closer to her." Cal said sitting down besides Maven.
"What!?" Maven said getting a few sparks of his energy back.
"Yeah didn't you know she was meant to go on a date with him...but didn't because you two are together so since then he's been trying to get closer to her, now now since your not there he's dancing with her." Cal said smirking a bit at his brother.
"Umm be right back" Maven said nearly dashing over towards mare.
Cal laughed as he saw his brother give Rhombos a very harsh death  glare. And then see him take Mare away from their friends so he could have her all to his self.

"Awwe cal did you have to tell maven about Rhombos!" Said a smirking Lucas as he took maven's old seat.
"Well I wanted to see how fast he ran to Reena if he heard someone else was dancing with her." Cal said smirking at his friend.
Both boys then laughed as they were pulled on their feet by Evangeline and Elaine to dance to another song.
