Chapter 19

A week before Maven's eighteenth birthday aka almost a year later:

The time finally came that maven was most excited for when he could finally be one with Mareena or as he liked to think when he could finally ask her if she would marry him. Later that day he was going to take Mareena aside and ask her to marry him. At the last family dinner maven asked Norah Mare's mom, for her hand in marriage. Norah who had been waiting for this moment to come for a few years now, said she would agree as long as Reena agreed.
"Don't worry dear boy she will definitely say yes!" Norah said wrapping him in a hug.
"Ahh thanks Norah!" He said
"You can't call me that anymore, now you have to call me mom after all your finally going to ask my daughter to marry you!!" She said jumping around as she kept hugging maven.

He could definitely see where mare got her energy, and happiness from after all her mother Norah was like a ball of positivity, and lighten up every room she was in.

Because maven was the second prince he got the choice in who he married. So both his parents were fine with him marring Mareena, because her family was very respected, and apart of the high houses.

Night had finally fallen and Mareena would be arriving to the castle very soon.
Maven was very happy because this night would have another reason why it was so special to him.

Back at the Titanos house Mareena dressed herself in a two in one  purple dress. That she thought maven's jaw would drop at. She wanted him to have an amazing night and hopefully she would too. She knew it was tradition for the prince to ask his bride to be on his eight teens birthday. So she made sure to look her best hoping that this day would be a good one.

When she slipped the first tight dress on, she took a bit longer to get the second dress over too. Mareena didn't want to look like a slut, for maven's birthday dinner, so she asked her mother to help her get into her second dress.
"Are you sure I look good mom...I mean today or we'll tonight's going to be a night to remember!" Mare said fixing her dresses.
"Oh really Reena why's that.." her mother said smiling
"Well I'm hoping maven will propose tonight... I mean after all it's tradition right!?" Mareena said turning towards her mother.
"Don't worry Reena, I have a feeling tonight will work out like you want!"" Norah said bring her daughter into a hug.
"Thanks mom you always know what to say!" Mareena said returning the hug.
"Now let's go to the castle before either of us start crying and ruin our makeup." Her mother said laughing as they made their way downstairs, and into their family's car.

When they left their house for maven's birthday dinner, she could tell tonight was going to be a good night. Even if he didn't propose to her she knew they had a good thing going and they head to the next step when they were ready.
