Chapter 13

Mareena didn't like being home alone when her mother was gone because the house always felt more empty. But she didn't want to go to the castle so she told her mother that she was sick, and if she didn't make her go to this high house meeting she'd go to the next once's until she got married without a fuss.

So like any good parent her mother agreed and she said she wouldn't say anything about her begging not to come to the castle if she went on a date with one of her friends sons. "Fine mom I'll do it" said Mareena
"Oh thank you Reena" her mom said " and don't worry the boy is a really gentle man even if he is a Rhombos strong man" her mother said while laughing. Once her mother left Mareen went through her clothes trying to find a good dress to wear on the date, and also to uphold her family's honour. 

Once Mareena finally picked a good dress to wear for her date along with the rest of her outfit. She settled down in front of her tv, hoping to catch up on a few of her favourite shows. But she only got in a few before she heard a knock on her front door. She walked to open in to find the young prince at her door.
"Oh what are you doing here your highness" she said a bit surprised but she kept her face calm remember what he had said to her at the palace, and when she thought about that she could feel her lighting start to dance on the tips on her fingers.
"Oh lady Titanos I don't know you lived here, I must have the wrong hosie" with that the young prince left, and she shut the door behind him returning to her tv. But with each step she took to get up the stairs to her room she made sure to stomp to let her anger put. "How dare he come here" she yelled hoping that the young prince could hear how little she cared about him and his stupid statues.

~A Few Minutes Before~
The ride to their mission didn't seem that far away to the young prince, and he wondered why they didn't have any guards with them, but he knew they could defend them selfs if anything was to happen.
"Cal, where are we going?" The young prince asked "these are all just houses"
"Yeah mavy, we're looking for a person that lives in one of these houses" the older prince said.
"Sounds like fun" he said to his brother
"It will be" cal said the two princes then rode faster on their bikes.

The older prince stopped his bike, with the younger prince slowing down his bike behind him. in front of them was a big White House that had, iron gates surrounding the whole house. Once they got to the gates their was a servant waiting their
"Hello your majesty's" the servant bowed to them then let them through the gates.
Once they got through the gates the house, and yard was filled with very pretty with purple flowers lined up on the walk way headed towards the door.
"I'll wait here Mavy, and you go inside" said cal hoping that Mareena was home.
"Sure I probably won't be to long" maven said he gave the keys to his bike to cal and then walked towards the door.

When he knocked the door he thought another servant would come to answer the door but this time he saw Mareena at the other side of the door.  Her face showed she was surprised, but then it turned cold like ice.  He looked down at her hands and saw her lighting starting to show .
'Great cal had to dig his nose in my business, and now I'm going to be electrocuted. And her dress looked duller then usually." He thought as he looked her fully over, her hair was up in a tight bun as well that over time had become a bit messy, as the tips looked like they were going in every direction.
'What happened to my sweet Mare?' He thought.

"What are you doing here your highness" she said very coldly. Maven felt that it wasn't her place to be cold to him after all she was the bitch towards him at the castle.
"Oh lady Titanos I don't know you lived here, I must have the wrong house" he said then walked away he could feel the anger pulsing off of him as he went back to the bike.
"Cal you have the wrong house" he did then climb back on the bike.
"Ok let's try again" cal said little did maven know what cal's words actually meant.

So when cal didn't give maven back his keys to his bike. Maven got a little mad
"Cal my keys please" he said
"Not yet mavy let's try again" cal said then he grabbed maven's hand and dragged him to the front door.
"Come on mavy I know you don't want to, but at least now don't you want to know why she stopped talking to you so fast?" Cal said to his brother.
And before he could answer cal knocked on the door again.

This time a servant answered the door not Mareena, but this servant let them straight in the house pointing towards the living room where they both could see Mareena curled up with a book in her hand.

"Lady Mareena it's good to see you again!" Cal said leading him and maven into the living room.
"What can I help you with you highnesses?" She said some what politely "because prince Maven didn't get the hint I didn't want to talk when I shut the door is his face" she said as some sparks of lighting danced around her.
"Well I don't want to be here either lady Titanos" he said "but somehow I still got sent here" he said looking at his older brother.
Maven could feel the heat from his flame starting to rise but he kept it some what under control.
"Yeah it was me who brought you here Maven, and not by mistake either I want you two to make up because something happened the day when you left Mareena. I want to know what it was, and I'm guessing you two might want to know as well"
"No thank you everything was pointed out perfectly by prince maven" Mareena said looking back to her page on the book.
"What do you mean?" Maven said
"You know the usually jerk ways to get a girl to stop talking to you." She said looking up from her book. "you know calling me easy, that I only has my looks. Any of that ring a bell" she said well looking up from her book, as angry filled her voice.
"That's not how it went at all, you treated me as if we just had meet, and then walked off as if I meant nothing to you" Maven said angry building up in every word, as his fire shot up in its flame.
"Wait why do the two of you have so  different story's?" Cal said
"And I'm let's bring this outside before you guys get to heated, and let something in fire or you turn into a electrical outlet."
"Because your dear brother here is trying to make up a better story so he doesn't sound like a jerk" Mareena said glaring at both princes as she stood up from the couch, and angrily tossed her book on the couch.
"As if your the one that's being a selfish little princess" maven said rolling his eyes as he steeped closer to her.
"Says the one who has royal blood in their veins" she did back to him harshly her lighting rising with every word.
"How about you tell us your story first Mareena" cal said " and let us all go outside, before something happens to the house."

The three of them exited Mareena's house as she walked towards the garden that was filled with more purple flowers. Showing which house lived here the mighty house Titanos.

"Fine the prince here said it was 'fun' while it lasted but we should go back to the way things were before I came to the castle, so I left but before I did I saw a women in the shadows smirking at me, ans laughing." When she had finished Mareena crossed her arms over her chest, as her legs crossed very tightly on the bench she was sitting on.
"Mareena what did this women look like?" Cal asked.
"I couldn't see her face expect she had blue eyes that seemed to glow, and she was wearing a navy blue, and green dress. Why?" She asked the older prince
"Hey my mother walked up to me after, you left and that was  the colour dress she was wearing for the day." Maven said.
"Maybe that's where she went?" Cal said pondering a thought in his head.
"What do you mean?" Mareena said unceasing here arms, and looking curiously at cal's words.
"Well when you two left to talk, she left right after wards saying she had to use the bathroom, but then she came back with you Maven" cal said
"You don't think?" Maven said to cal
"I mean your her own son, why would she do something like that?" Cal said
"Do what?" Mareena said with no patients left in her voice.
"Well maven's mom is a whisper, but I don't think she's use her own power on her son?" Cal said
"It wouldn't be the first time" maven said.
"Why not ask her" Mareena said "she'd tell you maven, I mean you are her son"
"I guess I could" he said
"You can ask when we get back to the castle" cal said
"Alright I'm coming too" Mareena said.
"Why?" Maven said
"One because I said so, and two I want to know if your mother really did control my mind, to change what happened" with that she stood up her sparks disappearing and the three of them went back to the castle to find out the truth.
