Mourning

Bad had died there, against the tree. No matter how fast they got him back to the camp, he couldn't of made it for very long. Even if he did survive long enough to get the bullet removed, he would've still died hours later.

Skeppy made sure he was there for Bad, up until his lasts seconds. He made sure to say anything he had to, aware that Bad could still hear him. "Thank you for being my best friend, I love you. I'm sorry for all the times I pranked you, and called you an idiot." He paused to clear his throat, and wipe his eyes. "You were always too forgiving and kind for this world, I don't think any of us deserved you...but we all loved you." He sniffled and held Bad's hand against his face. "If I have to say it...goodbye."

Puffy tried to keep herself together now, to not make it more painful. She kept pressing the jacket over his wound. Just to feel like she was doing something to save him. Even though she knew she couldn't. Bad held on for a few moments, his breathing was shallow. Skeppy felt horrible that his best friend was suffering through this pain. "Bad...it's okay, you can go if you need to. I love you." Skeppy said finally. After that, Bad stopped breathing. Finally releasing himself from the pain. Skeppy cried so much louder after he was gone. Bad had always done everything for Skeppy, of course he would need his permission to die. That's just how loyal Bad was.

Tommy watched them carry his body through the gate. He wanted to look away, but couldn't. He was too young to process a loss like this. One that happened so quick, without any warnings. Tubbo had taken Lani into one of the shacks. If him and Tommy were too young to be seeing this kind of tragedy, Lani was most definitely too young.

Tubbo came out once the body was safely in a tent, for temporary holding. He approached Tommy who was watching them dig a grave. All the other lost members were buried away from the camp, on a nice hill. Bad seemed to be an acception, since he was the leader of the group. He was being buried in the camp, next to a tree a planted a long time ago. It hadn't reached its full potential yet, but one day the tree would be massive.

"Are you alright?" Tubbo nudged Tommy, who looked to be having a hard time. "Are any of us alright?" He replied back. Tubbo shrugged and watched Skeppy and Puffy dig a grave for their lost friend. "I guess not...I can't believe that happened like that. What if it was one of us?" Tubbo knew that it could of been anyone. Realistically if he had left Lani alone for a second, it could of been her. Tommy closed his eyes "I don't want to talk about that." He whispered and went to sit in his shack alone.

Each shack looks roughly like this:

At least here they each had their own place to be alone

At least here they each had their own place to be alone. So if Tommy needed time to be alone, he could have it. He appreciated that. Back at Dream's camp, privacy wasn't really given to him. If he went in his tent, they'd usually still hear him crying. Then Dream would come, not to comfort him, but to belittle him. Telling him he's being too emotional, and whiny.

Even if he cried out in the open here, no one would make him feel wrong for it. Despite that, Tommy still wanted to hide away to cry.

Tubbo came to get Tommy after 20 minutes. He knocked first though, knowing his friend was probably in a vulnerable state. "Tommy, do you want to come attend the..." He thought of the word to use. "Funeral?" It wasn't a normal world funeral, it was a end times funeral. "They buried him...you can come say something, if you want?" Tubbo spoke up again when Tommy didn't respond. He knew Tommy didn't like Bad when he was alive. Maybe Tommy would want to apologize or something. "Alright...I'm coming." The blond dried his eyes.

Tommy and Tubbo joined the others by Bad's newly made grave. The only one left out was Lani, and no one expected her to be exposed to this. Puffy was standing by Sam, keeping an eye on him. Sam wasn't in the best condition. He kept coughing, and struggling to breath. (I swear to lord quackity, it's not covid. That doesn't exist in this universe.) Puffy concluded that it was probably pneumonia. She had been treating him for it. Pneumonia wasn't contagious according to Puffy's knowledge. So they didn't distance from him.

Each of them took their turns saying something nice in honor of Bad. Of course Tommy and Tubbo didn't have much to say. They just came up with some generic speech.

Tommy: "I'm sorry that I kept swearing at you. I should of...um not done that. You weren't that bad of a guy, I hope you're somewhere better."

Tubbo: "You were a great person, I knew that from day one. You taught Lani about the different kinds of berries. Which ones are safe to eat, and which ones aren't. I'm sure she'll hold onto that information. She thought you were cool."

Puffy smiled a little at Tommy and Tubbo's words. They were trying even if they didn't knew him for that long. Skeppy on the other hand kept giving them hurtful stares. He didn't feel like he could say any words right now, he already said what he needed to before Bad died.

Puffy: "Bad...you started this base, you led the people. You were one of the strongest people I knew. The way you took me in as a stranger. The way you took in these kids as strangers. You had a big heart full of love. I hope I can be just like you going forward. I'll miss you being around to yell language...I still remember that time you pushed me in the pond for calling you a bitch muffin. I'm sorry about that. I know we had lots of fun at that pond, and I'm sure it was a peaceful place to be in your last moments. We have lots of good memories from that pond. Like the time I caught you and Skeppy- nevermind. I just hope what happened doesn't ruin how I feel about that place." She finished.

Tommy and Tubbo eyed each other, wondering what happened at that pond when they weren't there.

Skeppy got up and went to Puffy's medical tent. He would of went to his shack, but he used to share that with Bad. Now was not a good time to go in there. He laid on the makeshift bed and mourned the loss of his better half. But he wasn't the only one mourning in the world.

Back at the dream team:

Dream was impossible to be around. No matter how careful you acted, he'd freak out at you. The explosive attitude from him put the whole group in a mood. Especially Schlatt who was responsible for taking care of quackity now. Since no one else in the group would.

Dream had started mourning Drista. Even though there was no evidence she was dead. He had searched as far as he could with George and Sapnap. It was like she vanished out of the universe. It only made sense that she died, and a zombie ate her.

George came up to Dream hesitantly, and offered him some cooked rabbit. "Here, you should eat. It's been a couple days." George used the softest voice he could, but it didn't help. Dream snatched the food from him and rolled his eyes. "Uh, are you doing okay?" George decided to try to get him to talk about his feelings. "Fuck off, get away from me." Dream muttered and turned away from him. "Alright, don't be a bitch about it." George's sass got the better of him. Dream stood up and shoved George. "I said get away from me!" He screamed. George left him alone after that, not wanting to get in a physical fight with Dream.

Sapnap watched George come back to the fire and plop down. "Did your boyfriend get angy at you?" He said mockingly. "Sapnap, he's not my boyfriend! Sometimes I wonder if he's even our friend..." He looked into the fire, realizing how Dream has been treating him recently.

The base remained soundless for awhile. Until they heard a thud, followed by Quackity yelling for help. Sapnap went to check on him, not wanting his yelling to piss off Dream.

He got to his tent and opened the door. "What's going on?!" Sapnap noticed Schlatt on the ground, grabbing his chest. "I think he's having a fucking heart attack!" Big Q was on the verge of tears.
