A zombie crawled out of the thick bushes. It's skin was grey, and decaying. It was missing an arm, and a leg. Tommy and Lani quickly jumped back instinctually. Tubbo froze in fear, giving the monster an opportunity to grab his leg. The three of them screamed horrifically. Tubbo tried pulling his leg away but he was weakened by fright. None of them have ever seen a zombie this close. If there was ever a zombie near the camp, Dream would kill and dispose of it.
Tommy grabbed Tubbo and tried to pull him from the zombie's grasp.
"You've got an axe, just kill it!" Lani screamed at him. Tears filling in her eyes. Tommy looked down at the axe and took a deep breath. He would have to toughen up, or let his friend lose a fight to the undead.Tommy closed his eyes and swung the axe, taking the creatures arm off. A small bit of blood ran out of the zombie. Most of it's blood was already gone. It had been dead for awhile.
Tubbo yanked his leg away and moved back. "Lani get away from it!" He screamed. He didn't need to shout twice, Lani was now next to him. Tommy was now the one frozen, as three more zombies made their way out of the woods. Each with their own individual quirks. All of them missing at least 50% of their skin. Some of them lacking an arm. They had both legs though, they weren't crawlers.
Tommy slowly backed up, not taking his eyes off them. "guys...we just need to run...we just run...and don't stop until we find safety." He said calmly, not wanting to alert anymore zombies. They were slow so as long as they didn't come from multiple directions, they would be fine.
Tommy started running through the woods, followed by Tubbo and Lani. The zombies trailed after them the fastest they could. Luckily they were able to lose the zombies. Unluckily Tommy and Tubbo found themselves separated from Lani. "Lani?!" Tubbo called out to her. Tommy shoved him "shhhh! Don't get those bastards on us again." He whispered aggressively. Tubbo looked around in a panic. "Tommy, she could be in danger." Tubbo started to walk back the way they came. Tommy had no choice but to follow him. "Those things are going to find us again." He told Tubbo, while looking around cautiously.
They found Lani on the ground crying. Tubbo kneeled down quickly. "What happened? They didn't get you did they?" He quickly questioned her, looking for any bite marks. Lani huffed "no but I tripped...it hurts to stand." She admitted and looked down at her leg. "Tripping is a bit cliche ain't it?" Tommy mumbled. Tubbo gave him a death stare. "Not the time Tommy, read the mood." Tubbo stood up and helped his sister get to her feet. She gasped in pain but refused to let Tubbo help her. "I'll be fine, I'll just suck it up." She said as she started limping in the direction they were going.
Tubbo kept trying to help her as they walked. Even Tommy offered a couple times. She was determined to be independent, and not need help. "You can lean on me at the least Lani." Tommy offered. "No thanks, stop trying to be a hero." She whispered while rubbing her eyes. Tommy looked offended. "I'm not trying to be a hero, you're literally crying as you walk."
Tubbo hit Tommy's arm to get his attention. "She's stubborn man, likes to do things herself. If she needs help I'm sure she'll let us know. I've tried too, she thinks she can handle this."After walking for hours they were rewarded with a shack. It was pretty beaten up but it had a door, so it would work. The three of them tiredly got into the shack. Tommy shut the door and pulled a crate over, to make sure it stayed closed. Lani collapsed right away on a box.
"What do you suppose this is used for?" Tubbo asked as he sat on the floor. "Probably to store hunting supplies or fishing stuff...I don't know." Tommy replied to him and checked inside the crate. All that was in there was some rope. "Well if we get desperate there's some rope here." He joked morbidly. Tubbo shook his head quickly, "don't make jokes like that man."
