Walking through the clubhouse, Jax looked around with a smirk on his face. He'd been waiting for the day that Denni Munson would return to Charming. As he sat at the bar, his mind wandered to when they were kids running around the compound. Chuckling to himself he felt Opie sidle up beside him.

"You heard from them yet?" he asked, accepting the cup of coffee a croweater had placed in front of him.

Jax smirked and looked at his friend. "They left an hour ago. Clay said they were doing a drop in Rogue River and staying the night." he explained.

Opie smiled wide. "So this time tomorrow the shit show begins." They were quiet for a minute before reality kicked in. "Just hope Gemma goes easy on her this time."

Jax sighed knowing Opie was right. The last time Denni was in town, Gemma had laid into her about being a better legacy. She swore that Denni needed to settle down and find an old man. It was the nail in the final decision for her to stay in Tacoma. The only good thing Jax could see of her staying there was that there was a charter to watch over her. "We're going to have to run interference. Ma found out this morning why Denni was coming back."

Opie cringed at that thought. "Bet she has Denni in her crosshairs now."

Jax nodded and looked around the room. "Which is why I'm sending her on a shit ton of errands tomorrow. I closed on the house this morning."

Denni rolled her neck as they stopped yet again. The geniuses ahead of her who thought the freeway would be the better choice to save time, didn't take in to consideration the rush hour traffic. She cursed under her breath as she turned up her music. Anything to drown out the horns honking and the cursing to other drivers. Smirking a bit at the song that came on she started humming along. Next thing she knew she was singing along to the song. "Here I come now baby..."

Lost in her own little world, she didn't notice a set of eyes on her. As she rocked out to Stranglehold, Happy chuckled to himself. He loved that she could be so carefree and not give a shit what other people thought of her. She was authentically herself, which was a huge contrast to the women he had encountered throughout his life. It was part of the reason why he was so drawn to her. He knew he was hooked the day his eyes landed on her at the tattoo shop and the last few months he had known her, he had found himself drawn to her more and more.

Traffic started to kick up again and he noticed a familiar car in his mirror. One he had seen several times around the bar Denni worked at and around her apartment. He cursed under his breath as he realized that she had been watched and he hadn't caught on to it until then.

Denni heard the rev of the two motorcycles behind her and looked into her rearview. She saw the tension in Kozik and Happy and knew trouble wasn't far behind. "Well this should be interesting." she mumbled as she merged into formation with the others. Taking a look in her rearview again, she saw the black Cadillac. "Son of a bitch!" she yelled, reaching for her cell.

Lenny smirked as he watched the two bikers get closer to his front bumper. There was too much traffic now, but he knew in just a short while, he could do something about them. He knew they only had a few hours before their boss expected them to have answers. Seeing the familiar tattooed asshole in his sights sprang up a new hatred. He was the man that had beaten his son half to death. He was going to show him how it felt to have his skull caved in.

Sully broke Lenny out of his daze. "You need to reign it in," he warned. "Boss wanted the girl and a couple of her friends alive."

Lenny rolled his eyes at his oldest friend. "I'm fine. But when the time comes. That tattooed freak is mine."

Sully chuckled as his phone went off beside him. His face screwed up into a puzzled look as he looked at the caller ID. He answered cautiously and tapped Lenny's arm when he heard the voice on the other end. Hitting the speaker button the voice on the other end rang through the car.

"Great day for a road trip, isn't it boys?" the woman's voice sang over the line. "Too bad it's going to be cut a little short for ya."

Neither one of them had time to answer though. They were currently flanked by two motorcycles. Lenny tried to side swipe the crazy looking tattooed one, only resulting in a gun being drawn and his front tire being shot out. Cursing he tried to control the car enough to make it to the side of the road.

"Jesus Christ!" Sully yelled as they came to a stop. "They're fucking crazy!"

Denni watched the carnage in her rearview as she followed the others as they exited the freeway. It was time to regroup and figure out their next move. She knew her father was going to have an even bigger thumb over her now and she hated that thought. She had been free to do as she pleased for the last few years. Now she was going to be under the SAMCRO microscope again. With a heavy sigh she followed her father and his brothers into a rest stop and turned off the car.

She sat quietly while Happy and Kozik explained what had just happened. Seeing the look on her father's face, she knew the fun was over. Groaning she got out of the car and made her way to the small group. Bobby pulled her in for a hug and sat her down at the picnic table. As Kozik got the president of Rogue River on the phone, she got the low down of her new security details.

Happy saw the sparkle in her eyes start to fade as Bobby brought the hammer down again. He could see her biting the inside of her cheek to stop herself from lashing out and saying something that was going to dig her hole deeper. He ran a hand over his head and sighed before he stepped in and stood her up and walked her back to her car. Dipping his head, he sought out her lips and felt her start to relax. "You good?" he asked as he searched her eyes.

Taking a deep breath she nodded and gave him a small reassuring smile. "Thanks for that."

Bobby watched as Happy calmed Denni down. He'd be lying if he ever said he was comfortable with the two of them together, but seeing how Happy stepped in today made him feel a little better. Seeing them together reminded him of things when he was with her mother. Bobby didn't have many regrets, but losing Denni's mother was the biggest one he ever had. Sighing, he grabbed a joint and dropped down on a nearby parking block.

He had fought to keep Denni on the right track and it was killing him to see her in the way of danger. He had hoped that when she left Charming, she would find herself a normal job and a man that could make her happy away from the carnage that being involved with the club would bring. Leave it to true Denni form to bring in some chaos of her own. He shook his head thinking of just how alike he and his daughter were as a small smile crept onto his lips.
