The sun was starting to rise over the still sleeping town of Charming as they finally rolled onto the lot. Denni stretched as she got out of the car and yawned. A sense of nostalgia washed over her as she took it all in. As Happy handed her bags over, Jax and Opie came into view. "Wow the prince rises before noon." She teased.

Opie was the first to reach her and took a bag as he pulled her in for a tight hug. "He does, for a pretty face like yours." he teased back.

Denni gagged at the compliment Opie gave her. "Let Donna hear you say shit like that and her pregnant ass will have you eating through a straw."

Happy laughed at the two friends and grabbed the rest of her things as Jax sauntered over. "You sure she's ok in the clubhouse?"

Jax nodded with a half smile. "Can't think of a safer place for her to be. There's always someone here and she's comfortable here."

Denni rolled her eyes as Happy and Kozik took the bags into the clubhouse and left the three friends to catch up. "He's been up my ass ever since the attack outside of the bar." she explained. "Lord knows I care about the guy but holy fuck."

Jax laughed, pulling her in for a hug. "Well if he's getting on your nerves, just think how it's going to be with all the guys around."

"Like I'm sixteen again." she sighed, leaning against her car. She got quiet for a second, lost in thought. Then looked at her best friends with the most serious face they'd seen on her. "How much has Clay stolen from me?"

-

Gemma watched as the old friends seemed to fall back into a state they had been in years ago. She didn't know whether to be happy or scared. Either way, Denni wasn't going anywhere any time soon. Sighing she dropped down in her chair and lit up a cigarette. The next few weeks were going to be chaos, and She had a gut feeling that Denni was going to be the epicenter of it.

The door to the office opened, bringing her out of her thoughts. Standing in front of her was a grown up Denni. She looked so much like her mother. Gemma and Lucy had been like sisters. It tore Gemma apart when they'd lost her. "Well look who came running back." She teased.

Denni rolled her eyes and hugged the woman who gave her hell every chance she got. "Nice to see you too Gem."

As they sat together, they caught up and Gemma soon found out that little Denni wasn't the old naive little girl she once was. No, she is grown up now. Had experienced life and learned from it. She didn't want to admit it, but her going off to Washington had done her good. She discovered who she was outside of Charming and most of all, away from Jax and Opie.

As hard as it was for Gemma to accept it, she always thought that Denni would end up with either one of her best friends. Never in a million years did she think she'd choose Happy. "So, how long have you and the killer been messing around?"

Danni shrugged. "A few months." She said as she leaned back onto the old tattered sofa. "We just hit it off the day he tattooed me. Never thought I'd be with a member."

Gemma smirked at that. "It's in your blood, baby. Just like running books. You can't get away from it."

Denni let out a snort. "Don't I know that." She huffed.

Bobby interrupted the two women and greeted his daughter. Dropping a kiss to the top of her head he dropped down beside her. "You two catching up?"

Denni nodded with a half smile as she looked around. "Nothing has changed." She chuckled. "It's like I've been sucked back into the nineties."

Gemma scoffed at the joke and looked at Bobby. "So what's the plan?" she asked.

"Denni is going to stay at the clubhouse with Hap and Kozik. She doesn't go anywhere without a member and she's to not step foot off this lot with Jax and Opie." Bobby said as he eyed his daughter.

Denni scoffed "Why?"

"Because the three of you together is like a magnet for trouble. Has been that way since you were old enough to crawl." Gemma explained with a smirk. She watched as Denni got up from the couch and huffed, leaving Gemma and Bobby to laugh. "Just like that, we really are back in the nineties."

"Just wait till she finds out that she has a curfew."

Happy walked into the clubhouse and was greeted by his brothers. His eyes locked on Clays back as he said his hellos. Knowing what Denni had told him had left a bad taste in his mouth. He wanted to know why he needed Denni's help so much. He thought about the guys that had her cornered at the bar and questioned if Clay knew more than he was letting on.  Happy steeled his face, observing the others and noticed Bobby disappear out the door. He figured he was going to let Denni in on what was going to happen now that she was back. Watching as Clay made his rounds around the room, he soon found himself face to face with him.

"Happy, good to have you here. I have some business for you"

Happy could only imagine what Clay had in store for him. He nodded and crossed his arms, waiting for Clay to explain. "What's going on?"

"Come see me after church." he said as he headed towards the chapel with Tig on his heels.

It didn't take long for Denni to come bursting into the clubhouse with an anger he'd never seen before. He smirked at the way her eyebrows knitted together and her jaw ticked. He'd have to make it a point to piss her off more. Stopping her before she got to the bar, he looked into her eyes and saw the teenager she once was. "That bad?"

She scoffed and threw her arms out to the side. "I'm fucking grounded." she huffed. "I told you this would happen. They refuse to see that I am in fact an adult."

He pulled her into him and wrapped her in a tight hug, as Opie and Jax watched on. Opie shook his head at the sight. "No matter how many times I see it, it's still weird." he said with a smirk.

Jax nodded and slapped his friend. "C'mon. We've got church." They headed into the chapel with Happy on their heels and sat in their seats. Clay banged the gavel and started their meeting as the doors closed leaving Denni to sit and stew.

She sank onto one of the old leather couches and rested her head onto the back. "Well ain't this some shit." she huffed.
