Sully rolled his eyes as Lenny whipped out the badge again. "Will you stop?" he groaned.

Lenny grinned as he placed the badge down on the table. "I can't believe how real these things actually look."

"For the price we paid for 'em they better look real." Sully sighed. He took a look around and noticed the old bird flirting with a man at the counter. The small town was starting to grow on him. The kid next to him seemed to be relaxed sitting alone. He didn't have a phone attached to his hand or a screen in his face. He was just content to sit and enjoy his afternoon meal.

The old bird noticed him and greeted him with a smile. Not unlike a smile, a mother would greet their child. If they made it out of this, he'd seriously think about relocating to a town similar.

Lenny noticed the  look in his partner's eyes and waved a hand in his face. "Earth to Sully…"

He came around and sighed heavily. "You figure out our next move?" He asked his partner.

Lenny thought for a second before smirking. "We know she was rescued by that tow truck." He started. "How bout we get a tow. There can't be too many garages in this town."

Sully was actually impressed. "Sounds like a good start. Maybe flashing a badge would help us, too."

The boy sitting next to them answered a call and put some cash onto his table as he rushed out of the diner. He watched as the kid nodded to the waitresses behind the counter before disappearing. Oh, to be young again. He took a look at his watch and pulled out his wallet. "Let's get this shit started before it gets too late."

Denni sat at the bar, lost in her thoughts as the others went through their plan of action. She was far past annoyed and was tired of the shadow of the club. Things were going just fine before Clay's greedy ass got involved. Sighing heavily, she got up from her chair and headed for the dorms. She needed to shut it all out. Even just for five minutes.

Before she could get away successfully, Happy stopped her. He could see the weight of the club start to take its toll already, and they'd only been here a couple of days. He pulled her into him and held her for a few minutes. No words were needed. But he could feel her start to relax as she wrapped her arms around his waist and hold on a little tighter. He kissed the top of her head and pulled her away only to see her pout.

He let out a small chuckle at the look on her face. "You good?"

She shrugged and latched into him again. "Be better if we were back home." She admitted.

He hummed in agreement. "I know. We need to make sure you're safe first."

She groaned and looked up, resting her chin on his chest. "Can we at least get outside in the sunshine?"

"You're not in prison." He reminded her. "You dont need permission for yard time."

She rolled her eyes. "Coulda fooled me." She huffed. When she saw a rare smile spread across his face, she couldn't help mirror it.

Clay watched the two of them and felt a pain shoot through him. There was a time where that was his life, but now it was all turning to shit and it was all because of that stupid bitch. He watched as Happy watched her walk towards the door and caught his eye.

Happy held his gaze and made his way over to where Clay was sitting. "Whatever it is that you got going through your head, you better squash." He warned. "If anything happens to her, president or not, I'll kill you."

"You'd be willing to lose that patch for a piece of pussy?" Clay challenged.

Happy's jaw ticked as he kept his cool with Clay's crass words. "Just because you see your woman as a piece of pussy, doesn't mean Denni is." He finally said with a smirk. "Least Denni ain't bouncing on the next dick when shit gets tough."

Clay's hands balled into tight fists as Happy's words were a slap to the face. He watched as the enforcer's toothpick rolled over his lips, his eyes dead of any emotion. Clay would never admit the fear Happy instilled in him. The cold, dead eyes that only seemed to warm for a handful of people.

Happy let a rare smirk come to the surface as he watched Clay squirm. "Like I said, anything happens to her, I'll kill you."

The sheriff's office was quiet as Jax and Opie walked inside. Things had been quiet in Charming for the last few months, and they were thankful for it. But it wouldn't take long for the chaos to come rolling in soon. Especially if this Denni situation escalated.

Unser noticed them as he stepped out of his office. "What's going on, boys?" He asked with a friendly smile.

Jax mirrored his smile and nodded to the office. "You have time to talk?" He asked.

Unser felt a knot in his stomach start to form. He knew from years of dealing with SAMCRO it was that question never ended well for the cheif. He sighed heavily as he led them into his office and flopped into his chair.

He waited for the guys to sit before he reached into his top drawer of his desk and took out a joint. "So this talk we're about to have… Does it have something to do with Denni?" Jax nodded as he watched Unser light the joint,a curious look crept onto his face. "It's for the cancer."

Jax smirked and accepted the joint as Unser passed it over. "Have two goons showed up anywhere that seems a little out of place?"

Unser thought about it and remembered two detectives that showed up earlier that morning. "Two detectives showed up this morning. Said they were looking into a case that led them here."

Opie's brows rose at that. "They say what kind of case?"

Unser took a long haul off the joint in his hand and thought back to the conversation. "Not much was really revealed. Just that they were on a lead and would come see me if they found anything that they needed my help with."

"They say where they were from?"

"No." He said slowly, kicking himself for not picking up on it. "We had Darby and his crew being processed when they showed up, so I was a little distracted."

Jax let out a chuckle of disbelief. "Figures." He sighed. "Listen, you see the two of them again, Give me a call."

Unser nodded as he took another haul off his joint. "Anything else?" He asked, a brow raised.

Opie and Jax stood from their seats and gave the chief an appreciative smile. "Just let us know about anything you find."

Unser watched the two men leave his office and exhaled the smoke he had in his lungs. He took a minute to think about the day he'd had and shook his head. "Retirement can't come fast enough…"
