“Boss is gonna have our asses for losing her.” Sully sighed as he shoved another fry into his mouth.

Lenny sat back and thought about what his partner had just said. “Lou doesn’t need to know.” he said with a sly smirk. “We know she’s going to Charming. We just beat the little bitch there.”

Sully mirrored Lenny’s smirk, “So we hit the motel, wait for her to show up.” he said around a mouthful of food. A thought then came to him. “Wait… she’s always with one of those bikers. How are we supposed to get her if they’re always around?”

Denni stretched as she looked over the parking lot of the dusty motel. “Well if this isn’t the beginning of a horror movie…” A chuckle coming from behind her made her jump a little.  Turning around she saw her father standing by the car. “Fuck, you’re almost as bad as Happy, Pop.”

Bobby couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped him. “Happy has us all beat.” he said as he handed her a room key. “Go shower and rest up. We’re only here for a couple of hours. With what happened earlier, we don't want to stay anywhere for long.”

She nodded and gave him a hug before heading off to her room. Bobby watched her disappear into her room and met the others out front of the room that was only a few doors from Denni. He listened as they went through the new plan and the thought of separating had his stomach in knots. “You know they’ll be looking for her car and bikes to go with it.”

“So what are you saying?” Happy asked. His brows were knitted and you could see his eyes darken. Maybe him with Denni wasn’t such a bad idea after all. He could always count on him to keep her safe.

“What I mean is if we separate, we get two prospects to ride the rest of the way, we could free up two of us.”

“We ride with her and the prospects ride with the others.” Kozik finished.

Bobby nodded. “Bingo.”

Happy thought it over. “Me and Kozik.” he said as he stood from his bike. “We need to figure out where she’s staying too.”

Bobby thought about it. “You think they know where she’s going?”

Happy smirked. “She plans shit out. Guarantee she made reservations.” he said before shaking his head. “Those pricks probably hit the apartment after we left. It’s probably how they found out where she was headed.”

Gemma cursed as she tried to input another invoice. Her mind was on other things and her patience was worn out. Taking her glasses off of her head, she ran a hand over her face and decided that her day was over.. As she stood and grabbed her purse, Jax caught her. Seeing the look on his face, she knew something was up. “What’s going on?”

Shoving his hands in his pockets he looked down at his feet before letting the bomb hit. “Denni was almost ran off the road.”

Gemma cursed as she dropped her purse. “That stupid bitch.”

“It’s not her fault, Ma.” Jax warned. “She didn’t ask for this shit.”

Gemma quirked a brow. “Oh?” she asked as her hands moved to her hips. “She got greedy and now we’re risking everything to save her ass.”

Jax’s nostrils flared as he listened to his mother. “I seem to remember a certain someone being impressed that she branched out on her own and could talk care of herself. You definitely seemed to love how she would give the club a kick back every month. Kept our asses level with the Irish.” he reminded her.

“I don't like this Jackson.”Gemma warned. “She’s bringing a shit storm and the club is going to get caught in the middle of it.”

Jax closed the door of the office and sat down. “You do know that Clay is the one that talked her into going deeper, right?” he said as he looked at his mother. As Gemma sat across from him he continued. “We were hard up a few months back. The irish were late with shipment and we needed supply so we made a deal with the Russians. We needed cash and we needed it quick.”

“So he asked Denni?” she asked, trying to understand what Jax was saying.

“He knew Bobby was going up to Tacoma every three weeks or so and making a hefty deposit. When he found out where it was coming from, he made a call. Denni would do anything for the club, so of course she made a deal with him.” he said as he lit a cigarette. “Bobby and Happy have no idea.”

As the water beat down on her tight muscles she thought of the shit she had gotten herself into. From the minute she agreed to help SAMCRO she knew something like this was going to happen. Thinking back to the party at SAMTAC the night she got to know Happy, she had lied to him. She didn't like it. Turning the water off, she made the decision to tell him everything.

As Denni stepped out of the bathroom, the man in question walked into the room. She saw the look in his eyes and knew there was something he needed to tell her. She hadn’t known him long, but in that time she had learned alot about him. She knew she was in for an ass chewing. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she braced herself for what he had to say. “What’s on your mind?”

He ran a hand over his bald head and dropped down into that chair that was by the door. “We have a plan to get you to Charming safe.” he explained. “Why did you make a reservation in Charming?”

She groaned as he mentioned the reservation. “Because at the time I didn’t think I had a damn tail.” she said. “Look, there’s something I need to tell you and I don’t know if you’re gonna like it.”
