Denni held on tight as they weaved in and out of traffic. A giggle escaped as Happy sped up on a straightaway. The feel of being wrapped around him made her stomach flip. She knew she was in trouble the minute she laid eyes on him at the tattoo shop.
He took told of her hands that were gripped around his waist and gave them a squeeze as he slowed down. They came upon the small diner that she suggested and dismounted the bike.
It took everything in him not to pull her into him and kiss her plump red lips. Instead he draped his arm around her shoulders and walked her into the diner.
She smiled at the woman behind the counter. "Hey Deloris. How's your grandbabies?" She asked as they took a seat at the counter.
She grabbed a mug and poured Denni a cup of coffee and began telling her stories of the new twins.
Happy watched as the two interacted and held back a chuckle. She was so airy and light compared to his disturbing darkness. He fiddled with the toothpick in his mouth lost in thought. The sound of her calling his name broke him of his thoughts and when he turned his stomach did a flip. she had her eyes completely on him with that damn smile shining up at him. "Huh?" He asked.
She chuckled and pointed to the menu. "You know what you want?"
He gave her a once over and smiled. "Yup. But I'll just have the turkey on white."
Her cheeks felt hot as the blush worked up her face. “Like I said, dangerous.”
Happy gave her a wink and flashed her a smile. Something that he caught himself doing a lot since meeting her. He came to the realization that she was the dangerous one. He hadn’t felt things like this since he was a teenager.

Lunch seemed to go by faster than either one of them wanted it to. They had full bellies and were feeling lighter than they had when they had gotten to the diner. Denni realized that even though she didn't want the afternoon to end she had to get ready to go to work.
She grabbed her helmet and turned to Happy with a sad smile. "Well Killer, as fun as this was, I gotta get ready for work." She sighed as she placed the helmet on her head.
Happy felt a twinge of disappointment when he heard those words, but he understood. “Hop on, I’ll take ya home.”
She shook her head and frowned. “My car is at the clubhouse.”
He shrugged as he mounted the bike. “Then I’ll just have to take you to work.”
She let out a little laugh as she hopped on behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. She needed to reign it in, Hap was a Son after all. He could have any woman he wanted and she had to remind herself that she wasn't that special.
It didn't take long to get to her apartment. She got off the bike and handed him the helmet. Before she could say anything his arm was around her waist pulling her in to him. She sucked in a breath as she felt the heat from his body, and saw the want in his onyx eyes.
“I'm gonna assume you wanna come up?” she asked, swallowing hard.
He dipped down and kissed her lips tenderly before letting her go and following her to her apartment.
Stepping inside, Denni threw her things on the sofa as she passed it and gestured around the apartment. "Make yourself at home. I'll just be a few minutes." She called out from behind her as she started to tug at her shirt and disappeared into the bathroom.
Happy sighed and ran a hand over his bald head. It was taking everything he had in himself not to follow her into the bathroom. He cursed under his breath as he headed into the kitchen and searched her fridge for a beer. He was pleased to see she did indeed have some and it wasnt that watered down shit that most chicks liked to drink. Grabbing a bottle he twisted the top and tossed the cap into the garbage can. Once he had a full drink of beer he started to relax and noticed a picture on the fridge. He smirked at the girl in the photo. Denni must have been in her early teenage years. An awkward Jax and Opie sandwiching her in front of what looked to be Teller Morrow. He couldn't believe he hadn't met her before now. He was thankful he had met her now though. Hearing her clear her throat from behind him, brought him back to reality. Turning to face her, he was nearly knocked off his feet. In one step he closed the space between them and pulled her into him. His lips crashed into hers in a kiss that she felt all the way to her toes. Pulling away, he gave her a smirk as her eyes opened and a sly smile came across her lips. "Careful, killer. You keep kissing me like that and you're gonna have me falling."
"That a bad thing?" He asked, before finishing off his beer.
Denni shook her head with a light chuckle and took the bottle from him. "Well, since I know the run rule and all that bullshit… it depends." She answered. Her brows furrowed as she thought back to when she was young and in Charming. Watching the guys fawn over the croweaters and knowing that even though her mother was at home, her father would roam. "It would be a deal breaker for me. I don't share."
Happy took in her words. He knew that she wasn't like most of the women he knew. She was classy and knew what she wanted and most importantly didn't want. He respected her more for it. "What else?" He asked.
She cocked her head to the side as she thought over what he just asked. "What do you mean?"
"What else is a deal breaker?" He asked, leaning against the counter.
She smiled and shook her head. "Conversation we're gonna have to have another time… I'm gonna be late." She sighed as she looked at the clock.
Happy nodded and pushed off the counter, his hand running across her hip as he passed. "Well let's go, little girl."
