A fantasy / magic alternate universe where Grace Field Orphanage doubles as a magic academy! 

Magic is a force to be reckoned with. Everyone knows this. It's unexplainable and often uncontrollable, but the people gifted with the power to harness those abilities are known as wizards and witches. Though most warlocks strive to heal and help others and the world, very few of them grow mad and abuse their god given power. You would know. Your parents were murdered by those people. As a result, you who was an aspiring young witch following in your mother's footsteps, had developed a trauma of violent magic. The only reason you were accepted into Grace Field Magic Academy was because your parents were good friends with the headmistress, Isabella. Your childhood friends, Norman and Emma, have tried to help you get through your tragedy of a life, but it was to no avail. You're careless, depressed, stubborn, and a whole pain to deal with. You attribute your piss poor attitude to your parent's death, magic, and the abandonment of the fourth friend in your party. Ray. You remember being close to him, but that all changed after your parents had died. He just... disappeared from your life. You hold a lot of resentment towards him, and stupid magic as a whole, but you tolerate it because if you didn't attend Grace Field, you'd have nowhere else to go. Everything in your life seems to go going smoothly until your eleventh year at Grace Field, where pyro magic is a required course and your trauma starts to run it's course.

There are three types of magic: defensive magic ( dendro ), healing magic ( hydro ), and destruction / duelist magic ( pyro ). y/n has a fear of pyro magic because it was the type of magic that killed her parents. Each branch of magic can be enhanced after one full masters that type of magic. For example, dendro magic can enhance into geo magic. hydro magic can enhance into cryo magic, and pyro magic can enhance into electro magic. 

Magic is as infinite as it's user believes. A person's magical ability is either held back or set free based on the mental capabilities of that person. Their emotions, their fears, their joys, and personality can gauge how strong someone's magic can be. y/n has only ever used dendro and hydro magic, due to her fear of pyro and that it was never a required course. That all changes in 11th grade. y/n struggles with her own inner demons and anxieties, whilst trying to learn and respect pyro magic. Ray re-enters her life as a tutor, offering to help her with said magic, and she hesitantly agrees. 

In A Little Bit of Magic, both pasts and presents collide to create an either dark or bright future based on your actions. Can you change your warped view on life and learn to love and believe? Can Ray explain his past mistakes and atone for those sins that had hurt you so much? Goals, dreams, secrets and a not- so- accidental murder comes to light and it will change everything. Apparently, a killer is out for your head, and he may be closer than you ever imagined.
