The sun shines brightly along with the calm breeze that shook the autumn-colored leaves and grass. On the top of a cliff stood a girl with a trail of rose petals behind her. She slowly reaches up, grasping the fabric of her hood before removing it.

Ruby: ["Hey, mom"] Ruby greets, and as she expected, received no answer from the gravestone that reads: Summer Rose ["Sorry I haven't come by in a while. Things have been..."] Ruby glances around, keeping her arms behind her back ["Well, things have been pretty busy. Oh! Dad's here too!"] 

Ruby: ["He's, uh... You know"] Glancing to the side, Ruby shrugs with a cheeky smile ["Dad. He's still teaching at Signal, but he told he's going to be going out on some mission soon"] Ruby puts a closed fist on her chest, smiling ["I think he misses adventuring with you... I miss you too"] Ruby puts both hands crossed in front of her body, smiling ["Haven't gotten kicked out of Beacon yet! So that's cool. I think being on a team with Yang helps. I keep her in line"] Ruby gives a small nod before lowering her head with a whisper ["That was a joke. She's actually a really great fighter. You can tell she's learned a lot from Dad! Well, so are Weiss and Blake. Oh! They're my teammates. Together, we form Team RWBY!"] With the proudest smile one could manage, Ruby spoke ["And yes, before you ask, that does cause a lot of confusion. Team BRZD is lucky..."]

Ruby's cape flapped with the wind as she remained quiet for a second before speaking up once more.

Ruby: ["Oh, they're my friends! Y/N's their leader. He's pretty nice"] Ruby comments, looking up at the sky ["He's like an older brother. He's pretty strong! He was the second-in-command of the White Fang. Isn't that cool?"] Ruby looks down, smiling still ["There is also Vuxulai. The way he talks is funny, haha. Let's ko und kick zeir azes! I don't think that Dad would like him, though..."] Ruby quotes with the same accent as Vuxulai, giving a small giggle with her eyes closed ["Oh, there's also Sebastian. He is very skillful with guns. According to him, he can shoot the antennae of an ant 8 Meters away!"] Ruby chirps up with excitement in her voice ["There is also Prince. He is.. Interesting"] Ruby giggled, looking at the distance [''He scared me at first, but he's actually really nice! Although I feel like he is hiding something..."]

Ruby gently grips her fingers, glancing down. For a moment, the girl stood quiet, but her smile appears once more, this time, widened. Gently bouncing her feet, she continues with the good news.

Ruby: ["Anyways, uh, I made a bunch of new friends, and I met some..."] Slumping her shoulders and tilting her head ["... Let's just say, odd teachers. Oh! We've also stopped some bad guys, too! I guess it's like they say: Like mother, like daughter..."] Ruby stands quiet for a moment before she tilts her head in confusion ["I still wonder why Ozpin let me into the school early. But uh, I guess he'll tell me one day. You know he is"] Ruby tilts her head to the other side, glancing away from the previous direction she faced just now ["It's funny. The more I get to know him, the more he starts sounding like uncle Qrow"]
