Year 1 - Christmas Break

I've made some friends as fall became winter, a kind Ravenclaw girl named Danica Rook, who is happy to do homework with me, a few first year Hufflepuffs named Ash Lyre, Bryony Loriss and Chloe Silverberry and I even made friends with a Slytherin named Draguar Cassowary. He's not the sweetest of the bunch but I help him with Flying and he's fairly kind when no other Slytherins are around. Draguar's sister Sage doesn't like that as she said, I make him soft and doesn't like me because I'm kind and caring. Finally, I also made friends with a Gryffindor girl named Starling Cerbus. She's in her second year and for reasons I'll never understand, she has the biggest crush on Percy. She seems to be getting really close with Fred as well and he told me he might invite her for Christmas at the burrows.
Oh and I had almost forgotten, Christmas break is very soon. I love Christmas, it has some of the best memories for me, most of which are either at the burrows or with Fred and George at my grandparents. This year, my parents told me I could have three friends over during the break and it was easy for me to pick who, obviously Fred, George and Cedric. My parents had no problem with it and nor did Aunt Molly, the only one I had left to ask was Cedric's parents. If the three of them could come, this could be the best Christmas yet!
"Hey guys!" I said, bundled up in my winter coat, walking towards George, Cedric and Fred in the courtyard on a Saturday morning.
"Hey Rayne! You seem extremely excited, what's up?" Fred asked.
"Well, my parents sent me a letter telling me I can invite three friends to spend most of the Christmas break with us and I wanted to know if you three woud like to be my friends I spend the break with. How 'bout it?"
"You know our mom is always happy to have us away from home." George said.
"I don't think my parents will mind as long as I'm home for Christmas day." Cedric added with a smile.
"You better sent them a letter to ask then because the break is next week. Also, I don't think it'll be a problem to have you home for Christmas day, I always go to the burrows so we'll be headed that way anyway."
"What will we be doing at your house Rayne?" Fred, Cedric and George asked curiously, not knowing what muggles do during the winter.
"You'll see." I gave them all a wink.
The next week flew by and before I knew it, my parents were picking the four of us up at the train station. Once we got home, we decided to get everyone set up where they'll be sleeping. Cedric got the spare room and Fred and George took the living room, one twin on each couch. Now that everyone was set up, I was ready to get this show on the road.
"First order of participating in muggle activities, no wands, past 'em to my dad please." I ordered and then giggled.
"I guess she's right, we won't get the full experience if we have them." Cedric added on, pasting his wand to my dad.
George and Fred pasted their wands to my dad and he disappeared with them.
"Next order, we need to get you guys fitted for skates. My mom is going to take us to the rink nearby."
"Skates? Rink? What are you talking about?" They asked me.
"My mom is taking us skating, you'll learn as we go, that's how I learnt."
"Come on kiddos, come get in the car, we're going skating." My mom called.
These boys are like baby giraffes on their new legs, they're so funny.
"Glide guys, haha, stop trying to walk, you'll fall, haha." I said, trying to help them and not die of laughter.
"Easy for you to say!" Fred yelled as he fell.
"Look at Cedric, he's got it!" I pointed out.
"Thanks Rayne, haha." He laughed along with me.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see George sitting alone so I went to see him while Cedric and my mom helped Fred up.
"What's up George?" I said while sitting down beside him.
"I don't know, I can't skate and I feel like we're not as close as we were before going to Hogwarts."
"George, you're still my closest friend, I know it's hard that we're not in the same house, but maybe when we get back we can make a new plan to see each other more often, ok? And here, let me help you with the skating." I said while standing up and offering him my hands.
"Ok Rayne. Thank you." He said while taking my hands.
"Glide George, don't lift your feet off the ice... You're doing it!" I exclaimed.
"I am! Look Fred! Cedric! Aunt Natalie! I'm skating!" George yelled.
    *THUD*
"Are you two alright?" My mom asked worried.
"Haha, we're fine mom, haha, seems you didn't quite get skating George."
"I guess not, haha, I'm sorry I fell on you Rayne."
"It's ok, haha." We all laughed a little.
"Alright, that's enough skating for one day, let's go home." My mom said.
We took our skates off and piled into the car. Once home, mom gave us all some hot chocolate with dinner that my dad made while we were gone. We were all still pretty cold so my mom made us more hot chocolate and the four of us crammed onto one couch under a large blanket to watch a movie. The three boys didn't know any of the muggle movies we had, so in Christmas spirit, I decided we'd watch 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' and if we wanted to watch another after, we'd watch 'Elf'. They ended up loving the movies and we started yet another movie, 'The Polar Express', though I had fallen asleep on George's shoulder, they woke me up after about half way through the movie because the CGI was freaking them out and asked me to turn it off. We decided it was time for bed so we said our goodnights and me and Cedric headed upstairs to our rooms.
The next few days were so much fun, we built snowmen and a gingerbread house, made snow angels and had snowball fights. We had probably had over a hundred cups of hot chocolate and today, we're going to bake with my mom. Every year, we bake cookies and other treats for my grandparents and for the Weasleys and this year we'd be sending some with Cedric for his family. First we started by making what my mom calls Reese Bars, which are her favourite and then we made Marshmallow Squares because both these treats go in the freezer to set.
"Aunt Natalie, are we going to be allowed to taste test the treats?" Fred asked with the biggest smile and puppy dog eyes.
"Of course Freddie. First we have to make Rayne's favourite cookies then the Reese Bars and Marshmallow Squares should be ready." My mom said, loving how eager we all were to help.
"Yay! Ginger Sparkle!" I exclaimed.
"Aunt Natalie, did you forget they're my favourite too? You'll love them Cedric." George said.
"Oh yes, I'm sorry Georgie, we'll have to make double the recipe in case Mr. Diggory here enjoys them as much as you and Rayne."
Once everything was ready, we got one of each treat and a small glass of milk to dunk our cookies in. While we were packing the treats up in cute boxes for each family, my dad brought out his wizard camera, which was rare, to take a picture of the four of us helping my mom.
"This is a Christmas to remember, you've never looked happier Sweetheart." my dad said while taking our picture.
Now it was time to get all our stuff packed up, we were heading to the burrows because it was Christmas eve and we had to bring Cedric home. We packed up our stuff fast and we were out the door and in the car in no time. We were on our way.
