Last night, before getting to the burrows, we dropped Cedric off at home and gave him the box of treats for his family. Once we were at the burrows, Aunt Molly asked me where I wanted to sleep as she always does and I asked if me, Fred and George could all sleep in the living room and she said yes. So we got ourselves set up in the living room and fell asleep in what looked like a pile. If someone would have come into the living room while the lights were off we would have looked like some kind of monster from muggle stories. Surprisingly, we slept great and we were up and ready for Christmas day before anyone in the house, even Ginny. Sadly, Starling couldn't come to the burrows for Christmas but despite that, both her and Cedric sent us letters to wish us a Happy Christmas, Starling saying how she wished she could be here with us and Cedric thanking us for the treats. We wrote them letters back wishing them a Happy Christmas and we did the same for some of our other friends too. I sent letters to Danica, Ash, Bryony, Chloe, Draguar and even Sage, though she doesn't like me. Once our letters were on route, I decided instead of waking everyone up, we should make them breakfast.
"Are you sure about this Rayne?" George asked, sounding a little concerned.
"Why are you so worried? You're the one who has lit fireworks in the house, I'm not gonna burn down your house if you haven't been able to." I said, teasing him.
"She's right George, if we haven't lit this place on fire, I don't think anyone can." Fred added.
"See, he has faith in me, now come over here, you're on pancake flipping duty."
After a while, Aunt Molly woke up from the smell of breakfast and came downstairs to a joyful surprise that it wasn't a prank.
"What a beautiful Christmas surprise! I'll take a wild guess this was your idea Rayne? This is wonderful, thank you!" She exclaimed.
"You're welcome Aunt Molly, should we go wake everyone now that breakfast is ready?"
"Yes please dear, I'll get the pumpkin juice out while you three go do that."
The three of us ran up and down stairs knocking on every door we passed and yelling that breakfast was ready.
"Oh wow, thanks you three." Uncle Arthur said as he turned up in the kitchen.
"Quit the yelling, we get it, breakfast is ready!" Percy yelled back at us.
"Good morning to you too." My dad said while yawning.
Once everyone had made their way to the kitchen, Aunt Molly and I had passed out food for everyone and we all dug in.
"It's a Christmas miracle, Rayne got the twins to do something without a prank involved, haha." Bill said while eating his pancakes.
After breakfast, we opened our presents and all us kids headed outside to play in the snow, even Percy came outside.
"SNOWBALL FIGHT!" I yelled while throwing a snowball towards George.
At some point during the fight we had unconsciously made teams: Fred, George, Ron and Percy against me, Bill, Ginny and Charlie. Ginny seemed to be more useful than Percy though she's 5 years younger than him. Percy gave up after his glasses got knocked into the snow, which ultimately led to his team's defeat.
"Ok ok, you win!" Ron, Fred and George yelled.
"We did it Ginny! We won!" I said, giving her high fives.
"You've got a good arm, you could be a Chaser with that throw." Bill told me.
"She's good at dodging too, how can you see the snowballs coming at you Rayne?" Charlie asked.
"Uh- I don't know." I responded.
"You could even be a Seeker with those abilities." Ron assured me.
"I mean, maybe, I think I prefer watching though."
"You should try out to be Hufflepuff's Seeker next school year." Ron told me.
"I think Cedric had told me he was going to try out, I wouldn't want to take the opportunity from him."
"Rayne, time to go home!" My mom called.
"Do we have to go?" I asked, hoping someone would say I can stay longer.
"We need to get the house ready for New Years with your grandparents, maybe another time you can stay longer." she called back.
And just like that, spending time with the twins was over. I will see them after New Years once we go back to school but I still wish our time together never had to end.
