Insane For Him Kai Parker

The First Date

Y/N's POV:

Omg I am freaking out and screaming on the inside. Kai really asked me out on a date. It was so amazing. I wanted him so badly at that moment I was on him and kissing him that second. I didn't want anything but him for the rest of my life. I would love him until the day I die.

People would think I am being dramatic but Kai is perfect. I can't believe no one saw it before. I am the one who helped him find his humanity so I can't let go. I hold him for a while when we finish kissing, but then finally stop and get ready.

I do my hair and debate changing. "Leave the dress, it's definitely breathtaking," I hear Kai say. My face immediately flushes and I smile in my mirror. I listen and leave the dress on and ask Kai what he thinks. I finish the little makeup that I was putting on and face Kai.

He looks at me, "I think you look absolutely beautiful Y/N." My heart and stomach flutter at his words. I sit down on my hope chest at the end of the bed. He gets up and kisses my cheek. Then he goes to get dressed. He puts on black jeans and a black button up shirt.

A WHILE LATER

Kai throws on a black coat for some reason even though it's nice out. He is such a gentleman. He opens all doors for me and drives specifically to go get me flowers. He makes all the little gestures. He treats me the way that girls in fantasy books get treated. After he gets flowers we drive over the Mystic Grill to have our date.

After we are seated at the Mystic Grill we get a lot of stares and older people who recognize Kai. He said that they are whispering about him. But that's when I spot Alaric, sitting at the bar, staring directly at us. My heart almost stops, then it just sinks to the bottom of my stomach. I knew if I felt like this much longer I would get sick.

We order food and I can still feel Alaric's eyes on me. I almost start to cry. Kai grabs my hand beneath the table and squeezes it. He knows that Alaric is staring. When we got our food I ate my burger slowly, Kai digs right into his. He loves his food.

I can't help but look at Alaric and he is walking over to us. Kai is sitting on the inside so it is comforting that Alaric isn't directly by him. When Alaric comes over he just sits on the other side. He whispers,"You are kicked out of my school, and never talk to my daughters again." Then he just walks away. I stare in astonishment for a moment.

I start to cry for real this time and lean onto Kai's shoulder. I couldn't believe this was happening, all because of what Kai did in the past. Will anyone ever see that he is actually changing? I kiss him and try to finish eating. It was pretty hard.

I almost lost my appetite. Kai tries to talk seriously to me. "You know he doesn't matter, it'll be ok." I nod at him. "Can we get out of here please." He nods and pays the bill, and we head out quickly. We head out to the car and the cool air soothes me.

I can't believe my first date was ruined by Alaric. When I get home I have to tell my dad that I got expelled. He is more understanding than I expected. He gives me a hug and sends me and Kai upstairs. I take Kai's hand going up the stairs and I take deep breaths.

I can't help but slip off the dress and put it away. It was nice but I am by no means a girly girl. I threw on a baggy t-shirt and some shorts. Kai only puts on athletic shorts. I go and wash off any makeup on my face. Then I finally went to the bed and layed with Kai. I can't help but kiss him and tangle myself up with him.

I fall asleep like that. And that night I was worried because I had nowhere to go in the morning. No school or anything, just wake up and try and figure out what to do. But for now I focus on Kai and that makes me calm.
