Kai's POV: 

I wake up to myself falling off the bed. I groan and get up to see Y/N sprawled across the bed. I smile and then head downstairs to make her some breakfast. The house seemed odd without Damon or Elena here. I walk into the living room and Caroline is sitting on the couch. "Hey?" I ask. She jumps up and walks toward me.

"Hey, you are finally awake." I nod my head at her and walk to the kitchen. I open the cupboard and grab the pancake mix. I couldn't stop myself from smiling about last night. I thought about how I had to buy her a ring and officially propose. Too many thoughts were racing through my head that I got distracted.

The first batch of pancakes got burnt so I hoped for the best on the second pan. I cook them and then put them on the platter with syrup. I bring them up to our room and set them on the nightstand and then lay down with Y/N. 

I shake her lightly awake. "Hey, I made you breakfast baby." She groans and then manages to sit up. Her hair is in knots and she looks like she got half an hour of sleep. I smooth her hair down and kiss her forehead. She yawns and then reaches for the food. I grab it and hand it to her so she doesn't have to. 

She eats slowly and then when she is done I bring the platter, plate, and syrup downstairs. Caroline is still sitting on the couch watching TV. "Y/N is awake if that's what you wanted." She nods her head and goes upstairs. I listen in on their conversation. Caroline brings up me. 

"Y/N, has he really changed? I want to trust him but after what he did before I just want to be one-hundred percent sure." I can hear her move out of bed and walk over to the vanity in her room. "He has Caroline. You have no reason to doubt him. No one does. And no one will ever take him from me either. Understood?" Caroline must have been nodding her head. 

"Also me and Kai have an announcement." I wonder what she means. I figured she wouldn't tell anyone yet. "We are getting married." Caroline's jaw was probably on the floor right now. I smirk and then start to walk upstairs. "That's my girl," I whisper under my breath. I walk into her room and Caroline has a look of disbelief on her face. "Oh my god." 

At first I thought she was mad but then she gets a giant grin on her face. "Do I have to keep this a secret or can I tell people?" I bite my lip and and look at Y/N carefully. "Can we just keep it on the down-low for now?" She nods her head excitedly and runs and hugs Y/N. I smile and then go back downstairs to do the dishes.

It was only a few things but I do them and then go back upstairs. I lay across the bed while Y/N and Caroline talk. I loved listening to her talk, her voice is the most amazing thing I have ever heard. I try not to listen to what they are actually saying though because they were having so called "girl talk". Caroline finally stands up and hugs Y/N. She walks out and waves goodbye with a smile to me. 

Y/N comes and crawls on top of me on the bed. "I'm sorry for telling her. I just felt like she would be one of the people that we could trust until we get this all figured out." I sit up and leave her to sit on my lap. "It's okay, but now that she knows do you want to you know, go shopping?" Y/N holds a smile in and then kisses me. 

"Of course I do. What time is it?" I reach into my pocket and pull out my phone. It was only nine. "Jesus what time did we wake up?" She shrugs her shoulders at me. "I have no idea." We get up and get ready to go. We walk to the bathroom and then I pull off her shirt. She pulls off mine and then runs her hands down my chest. 

I pull off her shorts then she quickly rips off mine. She runs into the shower and turns on the water. I follow swiftly behind her. I grab her body wash and then pour some in my hand. I hold her and start to wash her back. I kiss her neck and then go back to her lips. I lift her and put her against the shower wall.
