Insane For Him Kai Parker

Thanksgiving

Y/N's POV: 

I wake up and realize that it is Thanksgiving. Oh no. We were going to be having Bonnie and Caroline and the twins over this morning. I have to help prepare the meal for noon. I get out of bed and make sure not to wake up Kai. I quietly walk downstairs. When I get halfway down the staircase and then I hear footsteps behind me. 

He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses the top of my head. I sigh. "I meant to not wake you, sorry," I say quietly. 

"No it's okay," he says and runs his hand through his hair. 

We head to the kitchen and there is a list on the counter. I dig through the cupboards and fridge until I find everything. It is six in the morning and I really need to get going on the Turkey. It has been sitting out for a couple of days so all I need to do is prepare with the stuffing and put it in the oven. 

We had a sixteen pound turkey so that mean with stuffing it needed to cook for four-ish hours. I try to time it out. The turkey had to be in the oven and eight so it would be done right on time but if it needs extra time to cook I should put it in a little early. I decide to set myself an alarm for seven-thirty to put the turkey in. 

I start planning on another dish I should make and how long it takes. But first I want to go shower. I kiss Kai on the cheek before heading to the downstairs bathroom. I didn't have the energy to go up to my room right now. I grab a hairbrush and brush through my hair and then get in the shower. 

I hear knocking on the door. "Yes?" I yell. 

I hear the door open and then close again. Then Kai's voice, "Um your mom said that your uncle Jeremy changed his mind and he said that he would actually be coming." 

"Oh thank you for letting me know. Can you please do something for me?" I ask. 

"Yeah," he answers. 

"Would you please go up to our room and get me some clothes. It doesn't have to be anything nice right now, I just need clean clothes to wear," I tell him. 

"Okay," I hear and then he leaves. I get the shampoo rinsed out of my hair and then put in the conditioner. I am washing my body when I hear the door open again. 

"I am just going to set them on the counter for you. I also brought you a towel," Kai says. 

"Oh thank you, I would have forgot one," I respond. 

I hear him leave again. He was being oddly quiet but it was probably just because he was really tired. I rinse the conditioner and then get out of the shower. I dry my hair with the towel and then I put some leave in conditioner in it. I blow dry it the rest of the way while brushing it.  I huff and then get dressed. Kai gave me one of his t-shirts. I smile to myself and then hug the shirt to my chest. I put on my bra and panties. He picked out the red set. 

I put on the shirt and shorts and then start walking back out to the kitchen. I am greeted by Kai with a warm smile and kiss. I get back into food making mode. It was seven so I figured I would get going on the stuffing and turkey. I get it all done in fifteen minutes and then set it aside. 

I start chopping the potatoes into cubes so I can make my cheesy potato recipe. I crunch up some corn flakes for on top. My alarm goes off and I put the turkey in the oven. I sprinkle all of the cubes of potato in the pan and then I put a lot of cheese on top. Then I put the crushes up corn flakes all over the top. I cover it and set it aside. 

I think about what else I need. I grab a few cans of corn and set them aside to make later. I take out all of my ingredients that I need for carmel. I start making that in the pan. It is edging around eight and my parents are up now. They both come to the kitchen and compliment me for making the food. I thank them and then go back to making the carmels. I am done with them all by eight-thirty.
